Make Yubel work in 2023? I’ll do my best!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome to a more Casual Deck Strategy post, with today’s build featuring the Yubel theme. The Yubel theme centers around destroying Yubel, then Yubel – Terror Incarnate, to eventually land on Yubel – The Ultimate Nightmare. Each of these DARK Fiend monsters increases in power as you level up to a higher form, but to do so, you need to destroy them via card effect. So, let’s talk about the ways we do that here. First is the archetype centered around Visas Starfrost. Starfrost is a Level 6 Tuner that can destroy a monster you control and Special Summon itself from the hand, making it a great candidate for stepping up the Yubel phase. It also comes with an array of support cards, such as Scareclaw Light-Heart, Scareclaw Reichhart, and Scareclaw Arrival, each of which gives you a bit more oomph as your power up your board. Visas also has brought a new Field Spell into play as well, Pristine Planets Amritara (YGOrg Translation), which has an effect that triggers when a monster you control is destroyed by battle or card effect.
Now all of this in-theme destruction is great, but how about we add some Dragons. That’s where Borreload Riot Dragon comes in, a Level 8 Ritual Monster that is only included in the build for its ability to destroy a card you control or in your hand. If that wasn’t enough, I’m also running both Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon, as well as Dragon Shrine and Dragon’s Ravine, all to ensure access to destruction and Jet which summons itself after a card you control is destroyed. The final big aspect of the Dragon part of this deck is the Rose Dragon theme, primarily brought today by Crossrose Dragon. Crossrose is made with 2 monsters with different types, and it can tribute itself and a Plant monster to Special Summon a “Rose” Synchro monster from your Extra Deck, specifically Black Rose Dragon or Ruddy Rose Dragon. In either case, this offers a great answer during the opponent’s turn, should you need it.
Now, I know I mentioned that you needed a Plant monster to trigger Crossrose, so that’s where the rest of the build comes in! Lonefire Blossom heads up this side of the deck, as with most Plant builds, but the true star of this strategy is Baobaboon. This Level 3 monster Special Summons as many Baobaboon from your deck when destroyed, even if it was in the hand when destroyed, and when it is summoned, it lets you draw a card then return a card from your hand back to the bottom (or top) of the deck. This ensures that you can shuffle away any bricks, giving you just the cards you need to make more plays. And since both this, and Mystic Potato (YGOrg Translation), love destruction, it just all plays into the overall theme of the deck. This brings us to our final archetype, Fleur, that makes an appearance here as yet another way to destroy cards. Sauge de Fleur can destroy a monster you control and another card on the field, but it also comes with the benefit of tutoring a Level 1 Plant (Necro Fleur) when sent to the GY. All in all, this deck is about making the most of destruction, empowering your Yubel to its highest form, and just having a fun time throwing random cards together!
