Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another CDP, this time taking on the new Winter Raven theme from the upcoming Immortal Phoenix core set. The Winter Raven archetype revisits the Sinful Spoils lore with an all-Illusion take on Synchro Monsters, so let's start with Mart, Knight of the Winter Raven, which places itself into the S/T Zone as a Spell, then Special Summons 2 other Winter Raven monsters from your deck, after a small cost of sending 1 other card from hand or field to the GY. This is a great starter, giving you both Purifire of the Winter Raven's Forest, which also nets you a free Sinful Spoils card, and Anu, Knight of the Winter Raven, which pushes a Winter Raven into your backrow to Special Summon another from hand or GY. From there, you will have access to your WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils, which then gets you to your first Diabellstar and unlocks the entire Azamina engine. Finally, the Winter Raven theme is led by Diabellze, Heiress of the Winter Raven's Forest, a Level 8 threat that can push a lot of monsters into the backrow before spinning cards on the field back to hand! But the Winter Raven doesn't just get your combo started - it can also partner extremely well with your Level 2 White Forest non-Tuner monsters. You see, since they're all Illusion monsters, you can easily leverage Elzette, Azamina of the White Forest to Fusion Summon an Azamina monster first, then follow that up by Synchro Summoning Rciela, Sinister Soul of the White Forest to tutor yet another free Sinful Spoils card. From there, this deck gets to showcase all the greatest hits of the Sinful Spoils strategy, from Fusion Summoning with Sinful Spoils of the White Forest to spinning tons of cards with Azamina Aphes. But it also can turn to generic engines for support as well, such as supporting Super Polymerization extremely well due to the high-fusability of both Spellcasters and Illusion into many options, such as Nightmare-Eyes Restrict. Enjoy the newest expansion to the Lore, with the Winter Raven archetype!
