A touch of Divine, a Stone Tomb, and Gimmicks? It’s an Easter Lore deck.

Strategic Summary:
Today’s Creative Deck Profile features the return of the Horus to my channel, this time fueling a Divine-Beast build centered around The Winged Dragon of Ra. Over time, Ra has gotten quite the array of dedicated support cards. See, you have Ancient Chant and Millennium Revelation to tutor Ra and Monster Reborn respectively, and you have The Winged Dragon of Ra – Sphere Mode and The Winged Dragon of Ra – Immortal Phoenix to represent its lifecycle. In recent times, the theme has also gotten The True Sun God, a Continuous Spell that tutors anything else that mentions it, as well as that sets up the summon of Immortal Phoenix via its effect. Add this to Soul Crossing, a generic Divine-Beast support card, and you have everything you need to find success with The Winged Dragon of Ra beatdown show!
With all of those cards, the deck had promise, but just didn’t have a good enough time generating tribute material that could stand on their own in case your Ra strategy couldn’t go online… that was, until Ra found the Horus monsters. You see, Horus can generate 4 free tributes a turn, as long as you control King’s Sarcophagus, and those tributes have a lot of bonus ATK that Ancient Chant can impart on a Ra. But that’s not all, because each of these Horus monsters are also Level 8, so you can turn to R8NK Xyz monsters to augment your boss power. Today, I’m turning to the new Gimmick Puppets!
The Gimmick Puppet theme consists of DARK Machines, and while their new support are best known for having a consistent FTK, I’m sticking with just a few of their new cards. First up is Gimmick Puppet Fantasix Makina (YGOrg Translation), a R8NK that can tutor a Rank-Up-Magic card, plus when you Special Summon a Gimmick Puppet Xyz, it can Special Summon itself from the GY then recover a Rank-Up-Magic! It also comes with a new upgrade, CXyz Gimmick Puppet Fanatix Makina (YGOrg Translation), a R9NK Xyz monster that tutors a Puppet Trap on summon (Servist Puppet is perfect to discard for King’s Sarcophagus since it has a GY effect), plus it can destroy a monster Special Summoned to the opponent’s field, burning your opponent with damage equal to half its original ATK. If you combine these with Number C40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings, you can easily put up nearly 4000 damage on your first turn, without investing too much card advantage. In turn, that tends to pressure your opponent to overcommit to their board, letting you sweep up victory with Ra. In closing, I really hope you enjoy this build, as I’ve had a lot of fun making it!
