New Watt TCG Premiere Card? Nice!
Replays:
Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP is unshockingly focused on electrifying animals – that’s right, we’re talking about the Watts! If you missed my first profile on this new batch of support in Age of Overlord, be sure to check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnflrMXoQu4
Now that you’re all caught up, let’s talk about how I’m bringing us back to the olden days of Watt Decks, by adding the Hunder family theme. The Hunder monsters are a set of Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monsters that love to Normal Summon. In today’s build, both Mahunder and Pahunder, the parents of this family, make an appearance, and each provides an effect to Normal Summon a different Level 4 LIGHT Thunder monster from the hand. While of course you can summon the other, you can also use this effect to Normal Summon an additional Watt monster, such as your key Wattcobra that enables victory OTKs. There’s another key to this hybrid though: the Hunder puts a lot more Thunder monsters on the board to tutor additional Watt cards with Wattrain. This gives you better access to Wattkingdom, the ability to run Wattcancel, and consistent access to a new way to OTK, with Wattsychic Fighting Porter.
Porter is a new TCG-World Premiere card debuting in AGOV, that is a Quick-Play Spell that Special Summons up to 2 Level 3 or lower LIGHT monsters from the hand. If they both have the same Type, they can attack directly. This is absolutely perfect for one Watt monster, Wattwoodpecker, as it carries 1000 ATK and the ability to double attack during the Battle Phase. In short, Porter summoning two Woodpeckers is a direct 4000 damage, with no further modifiers. Personally, I love to add in ATK boosts, such as the R4NK Xyz Monster, Galaxy Photon Dragon, which boosts the ATK of other LIGHT monsters by 500. It also searches Photon Sanctuary, which can summon 2 LIGHT Tokens, which can subsequently be used for the Link Summon of Hip Hoshiningen, which also boosts the ATK of LIGHT monsters by 500. With both boosts, your Woodpeckers would deal 8000 direct damage – and this R4NK is easily accessible with your Hunder summons. This combo is just yet another way to OTK – the deck still has the normal OTK line of going from Wattcobra, into Wattuna, into Wattkyuki, into Watthydra, which banishes Balancer Lord and finally summons another Watt from the hand. With Wattsychic Fighting Porter, your animals just have more shocking ways to stun the opponent! Bring the Thunder with the Watts and Hunder!
