Strategic Summary:
All in the GY are reclaimed by the EARTH one day, and this combination of archetypes showcases that perfectly in today’s profile! Let’s begin with the new theme in the room, the Vernalizer Fairy! This archetype features a set of EARTH Fairy monsters that discard themselves and another EARTH (or Veranlizer Fairy card) to do some effect then Special Summon an EARTH monster from the GY. To be more specific: Vernalizer Fairy of Forests and Awakening (YGOrg Translation) sends an EARTH monster that can be Normal Summoned/Set from the Deck to the GY, Vernalizer Fairy of Hills and Blooms (YGOrg Translation) tutors a Vernalizer Fairy card, Vernalizer Fairy of Mountains and Melting Snow (YGOrg Translation) draws a card, and Vernalizer Fairy of Flowers and Fields (YGOrg Translation) recovers an EARTH monster from the GY. In addition to all these effects, each also carries beneficial effects for one or more Vernalizer Fairy monsters you control. This is especially powerful when combined with their Continuous Spell, Flower Crown of the Vernalizer Fairy (YGOrg Translation), which turns all EARTH monsters you control into Vernalizer Fairy monsters. This can empower your monsters very effectively, before you even factor in its second effect to ignore the second discard for all your Vernalizer Fairy effects in the hand.
Now that we’ve covered the shiny new EARTH toys, let’s talk about the antiques of this hybrid – the Fossils. The Fossil theme centers around Fossil Fusion to Fusion Summon using a Rock monster and another monster in the GYs. Take Fossil Dragon Skullgios for example, the fusion of a Rock monster and a Level 7+ from the opponent’s GY, that inflicts double damage and can pierce through DEF position monsters. Combine that with Flower Crown and Vernalizer Fairy of Forests and Awakening, and you have a 7000 ATK attacker with double damage. Or combine it with Mountains and Melting Snow to be a double attacker. To round out the build, I also included a ton of feel-good EARTH monsters, such as a small P.U.N.K. engine with Emergency Teleport and a few Adamancipator Researcher to support the Rocks. With these, you have access to the important Naturia Synchros, Naturia Beast and Naturia Landoise, which can provide disruption as required.
