Creative Deck Profile: Valiants of Twilight Ninja Ninjitsu Arts, ft. DBGC Support

Nazuki leads The Valiants to Cross Over with the Ninjas.

Strategic Summary:

Today’s profile builds character in the shadows, featuring both the Ninja and Valiants archetype united on one battlefield. Let’s start with the new archetype – the Valiants. It is a Pendulum-based archetype, designed with columns as keys and Field Spells to swap Monsters and Spells, and vice-versa. Shinonome, Priestess of the Valiants (YGOrg Translation) is a WATER Spellcaster, tutoring a Valiants Spell while you control that Special Summoned card. Meanwhile, whenever it changes columns, it tutors a Valiants monster. On the Spell front, you’ll typically tutor Valiants’ Var – The Land of Beginning (YGOrg Translation), since that Spell tutors either Field Spell, but on the monster side, you’ll be grabbing the marquee member of both archetypes – Nazuki, Ninja of the Valiants (YGOrg Translation). Both Nazuki and Shinonome can Special Summon themselves from the Pendulum Zone while you control the other or if Valiants Vorld – Shinrabansho (YGOrg Translation) is in the Field Zone, giving you free monsters to further develop your board. But they’re also Scale 1 Pendulums, giving you free reign to Pendulum Summon a host of monsters at will. Don’t count out the ease of access this theme has to Beyond the Pendulum (YGOrg Translation), giving them access to any other Pendulum monster you may need for combos.

Now let’s turn to the meat and potatoes, the Ninjas. The Ninja archetype combines Ninja monsters with Ninjistu Art cards, such as Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo and Upstart Goblin Ninja with Ninjitsu Art of Duplication, Ninjistu Art of Mirage-Transformation, or Ninjitsu Art Notebook. Either way, Notebook keeps the draws flowing, discarding a Ninja to set another Ninjistu art to your board, such as Armor Ninjitsu Art of Alchemy. In turn, this lets you destroy that Notebook for two draws. With this consistency and the looming threat of Twilight Ninja Getsuga, the Shogun waiting in the wings to recover 2 Ninjas at once, this strategy can control the duel through a variety of higher-leveled Dragon Ninjas to control the duel. Yellow Dragon Ninja can destroy multiple Spell/Trap cards, Black Dragon Ninja banishes monsters, and Red Dragon Ninja spins a Set card back to the top or bottom of the deck. In time, you will slowly steamroll advantage between Ninja Grandmaster Saizo, Hidden Village of Ninjitsu Arts, and repeated activation of Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo’s effect. Perfect to unleash with Pendulum Summons as described earlier. Embrace your inner Valiant Ninja with these Hybrid fighters!
