Man, it has been quite a year of endless support for our last wave of Deck Build Pack themes, hasn’t it? It feels like I’ve covered this archetype a ton over the past year and the basic principle hasn’t changed much, so be sure to check out my last profile for them here: https://ygorganization.com/cdp_vaalaroma/. Now that you’re caught up, let’s talk about the new additions to the archetype, and how they give it even more oompf! I’ll start with the themes new Continuous Trap, Vaalmonica Creation, as whenever it is sent from the hand or field to the GY, it can make a Vaalmonica in your Pendulum Zone go up to 3 Resonance Counters. This is obviously a great discard to activate a Vaalmonica effect in the hand, since it automatically adds the 3 counters to unlock their Link Summoning, but it also has an effect on the board to allow you to immediately Link Summon when the opponent Special Summons a monster, giving you another in-theme way to Link Summon Duralume, Vaalmonican Heathen Hallow during the opponent’s turn. They also got a top-tier Counter Trap in Vaalmonica Ereditare (YGOrg Translation), which can negate the activation of a S/T or monster effect while you control a Vaalmonica Link, plus it has a GY effect to recycle Vaalmonica cards from your face-up Extra Deck, GY, and Banishment to draw 1 card for every 3 returned. This is an insane recovery tool, letting the deck grind on literally forever, when you factor in Vaalmonica Disarmonia. As for the last new card, they recieved a powerful boss in Varar, Vaalmonican Concord, a LINK-2 that is unaffected by card effects once you attain 6 or more Resonance Counters, that can attack multiple times, and that can negate the Special Summon of a monster(s)!

As for the rest of my build today, it is all focused on accentuating the inherent power of the Vaalmonica. There’s Kashtira Fenrir to give you a body, discard fodder, and a removal tool, all in one package. There’s a small Ashened engine led by Veidos the Eruption Dragon of Extinction to give you control over the opponent’s Field Spells, plus it even gives you a free 2800 beatstick if needed or desired when combined with Ashened for Eternity. With all of these new tools, the deck has everything going for it to be a powerhouse, so I hope you enjoy seeing the full scope of this unique Pendulum theme in action!
