Dinos, Dinos everywhere with Polymerization to spare.

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the return of the Transcendrake theme, with quite a few new tech options, even though I recently covered this archetype after its recent debut to the OCG. If you missed my original profile, be sure to check it out linked here.
Enough with my first take though, let’s talk about these rocking new options available to the newest Dinosaur theme, and first up is named in the title: Kaitoptera (YGOrg Translation). This Level 4 WIND Dinosaur monster is coming for Giant Rex‘s job, as it shares a similar effect to Special Summon itself whenever it is banished; however, Kaitoptera also grabs you a free Polymerization from your GY as well for your troubles. If you hadn’t already used one, it also has an effect to just tutor a new copy of Polyermization from the deck, so Fusions all around! With the help of these new copies of Polymerization, the Dino strategy can now lean even heavier into Fusion Monsters beyond Transcendrake Gigantozowler (YGOrg Translation), such as the brand new Horned Saurus (YGOrg Translation) that came alongside Kaitoptera. Made with that Dinosaur and any other Dinosaur or Dragon, Horned Saurus provides two key effects – it gives you an effect to immediately Normal Summon a Dragon or Dinosaur monster, allowing you to extend your plays, and it has an effect to place any Field Spell from your deck or GY onto your board. What this means is you now have even more combo potential for Dinosaurs with unique Field Spells, such as Ecole de Zone to trigger an extra Babycerasaurus or Petiteranodon you might have drawn, or even Mound of the Bound Creator to protect your Level 12 Transcendrake monsters.
That’s enough of Dinos for the moment, as I’d like to talk about a few other tech options that are present and viable to combine with the Transcendrake. Let’s start with some additional Fusion Monsters that you can redirect those extra Polymerization towards. Magnum the Reliever (YGOrg Translation) is a new LIGHT Fiend Fusion that can be made with any monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck and 1 other monster in your hand. Once on the field, Magnum can either return a copy of Polymerization to the deck to draw a card, or it can wait until another card or effect is activated to banish a Polymerization from your GY to destroy any card on the field! As always, Guardian Chimera is also a great choice here, as it allows you to make the most of a hodgepodge of different monsters with a copy of Polymerization, to swing a duel into your favor. Beyond the Fusion monsters though, you might have noticed an odd Limited card taking up one of the slots – Left Arm of the Forbidden One. This is an essential part of the final new engine in the deck, featuring the Continuous Trap card – Obliterate!!! Since Transcendrake monsters can shuffle back any Normal Monster to revive themselves when destroyed, you can turn to a generic piece of Exodia to serve in that capacity, letting you run a full Obliterate!!! suite with only 1 Exodia piece. And we all know that the Left Arm is clearly the best one… Clearly. Rise with greater Fusion prowess with this new and improved Transcendrake Fusion build!
