Strategic Summary:

Welcome to another extra CDP, this time featuring the new Supreme King support cards headlining the next set to arrive in the OCG, Age of Overlord. The Supreme King archetype consists of DARK (and now LIGHT) monsters that aim to Fusion Summon Supreme King Z-ARC, using 4 Dragon monsters – 1 Fusion, 1 Synchro, 1 Xyz, and 1 Pendulum. While Astrograph Sorcerer and Chronograph Sorcerer were the best ways historically to summon this beast of a Dragon boss monster which wipes your opponent’s board when summoned, the theme will now have a new Trap Card, Soul of the Supreme Celestial King (YGOrg Translation), to do that for you by tributing any Spellcaster Pendulum with 2500 ATK and using Fusion Materials from your Extra Deck, Deck, hand, field, and/or GY. So Fusion Materials from anywhere. It just so happens that theme also got a new Spellcaster Pendulum with 2500 ATK, Supreme King Gate Magician (YGOrg Translation), that even tutors this new Trap when Special Summoned! Gate Magician works with the older Supreme King Gate Zero and itself is tutored by Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm, giving you all the consistency you need to have a boardwipe at your fingertips – every single first turn. That’s before you even mention the new Spell cards for the theme, The Light-Winged Dragon (YGOrg Translation), which tutors any Supreme King Dragon or Supreme King Gate monster, and Pendulum Evolution (YGOrg Translation), which can trade any Pendulum Monster from your hand for a new Pendulum from your deck with 2500 ATK.

All of these details on the Supreme King side are great, but where this deck truly shines is its ability to give a Pendulum mashup deck bosses that only they can truly make the most value of. In the past, Pendulum decks just aimed to create a board of the most powerful generic options they could, but now, noone else really has that access to something like Z-ARC. Beyond the Pendulum obviously is key here, tutoring any Pendulum monster you may need prior to a Pendulum Summon, but you can also turn to the array of Magician Pendulum monsters to tutor even more cards with Star Pendulumgraph. Then since the Dracoslayer archetype can work generically with many Pendulum themes, as well as Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer tutoring Sky Iris for the Odd-Eyes portion of this deck, Ignister Prominance, the Blasting Dracoslayer definitely earns his slot in the Extra Deck here! Embrace all different types of Pendulum options to herald the arrival of the Supreme Celestial King Odd-Eyes Arc-Ray Dragon (YGOrg Translation)! Man, that card has a ton of words in its name.
