Take on DARK Xyz with Insect materials!
Replays:
Strategic Summary:
Welcome to today’s Creative Deck Profile, which takes the recent Spider Xyz support cards and, combined with Weevil and Beetrooper support cards, gives them a fighting chance! For those of you who haven’t checked out the new Spider cards, the ones I am talking about are Mother Spider Splitter and Baby Spider (YGOrg Translation). Mother Spider can Tribute itself to Special Summon up to 3 Baby Spider from your hand/deck, making them Level 5. In turn, Baby Spider can tribute any DARK monster you control to increase the Levels of all Baby Spiders you control by the Level of the tributed monster. For example, tribute one of the 3 Baby Spider you just summoned, and you can make the other two Level 10. Therefore, Mother Spider gives you the option of making Rank 5 Xyz monsters like Inzektor Exa-Stag or Imperial Princess Quinquery, or a Rank 10 threat like Number XX: Utopic Dark Infinity. This allows easy access to the rest of the Spider Xyz monsters, such as Number 84: Pain Gainer, which can be overlaid on top of Dark Infinity, or Number 77: The Seven Sins, which can be overlaid on top of Dark Infinity or Number 84. But there is one more key part of Baby Spider‘s effect – it can be banished from your GY to detach a material from a DARK Xyz monster you control, then it Special Summons any DARK monster in your GY. You can use this to combo chain into more Xyz monsters, such as Number 3: Cicada King, or you can just use it to bring back one of your more powerful DARK Xyz like Dark Infinity.
The rest of this build is just chalk full of good Insect cards. Relying on the powerful Resonance Insect to tutor all of your high-Leveled Insects, you can quickly tutor anything you need, from Beargram, Shelled Emperor of the Forest Crown, to Humongous Hive Hegemon – Zexstagger. With the help of Insect Imitation, any of your Level 3 Insects can be turned into Resonance Insect, while any of your Level 4 Insects can be tutored into Mother Spider Splitter. And of course, you always can rely on the Beetrooper archetype to recycle your banished Insects, as well as offer additional Normal Summons with Beetrooper Armor Horn. Hope spiders don’t give you the creeps, because you can truly spin a number of dark webs with the new Spider monsters!

Constellar Tellar with CYAC support if you will
Hi! I’ve covered that before here: https://youtu.be/pCmK5_YpmHM
I dont really have too many updates to that build right now, but I’ll keep it in mind to explore again in the future.
You mean resonance insect not spider, right?
Obviously. There’s no card named Resonance Spider so obviously he meant insect. Why even phrase that as a question when you know the answer.
Thanks! Missed this typo in the article, but it is fixed now. Clearly I typed Spider way too many times in this article.
