Strategic Summary:

Today’s CDP features the bright return of the Scareclaw theme to my channel, and this time we’re empowering them with a Spellcaster twist. The Scareclaw archetype revolves around Scareclaw Tri-Heart, a LINK-3 monster that forces all monsters into Defense position while being unaffected by activated effects of Defense Position monsters. To make Tri-Heart a threat, you can add Scareclaw monsters to your board, like Scareclaw Belone or Scareclaw Acro, that empower any Scareclaw monster in your Extra Monster Zone, allowing it to pierce or even attack multiple times. Since Tri-Heart is made with any 3 monsters, it really can be a breeze to summon, so I’ve paired his theme with a bunch of other themes that generate free card advantage – leaving bodies along the way to leverage for his eventual arrival.

First up is the Dark Magician support theme, and we’ve replaced Dark Magician entirely due to Dark Magician, the Pharaoh’s Servant (YGOrg Translation). This new Level 7 can reveal any Spell to Special Summon itself from the hand, then set a S/T that mentions Dark Magician, which will be quite powerful if you grab The Gaze of Timaeus (YGOrg Translation) for instance, since that gets you a free Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. Leveraging Pharaoh’s Servant also has the additional benefit of letting you still get a search of a card that mentions Dark Magician due to Dark Magician of Destruction (YGOrg Translation), accessing Magicians’ Souls or even Secrets of Dark Magic for an impromptu Ritual Summon of Illusion of Chaos! The next engine pairs well with all of that in the Sinful Spoils/Azamina engine, led by Diabellstar the Black Witch. You see, she is a DARK/Spellcaster herself, that puts free bodies onto the field, adds an omni-negate to your endboard, and gets you access to a solid threat like Diabellstar Vengeance. Then lastly we have a small Kashtira engine as well, since Scareclaw Kashtira serves as a valuable contributor to a Scareclaw Tri-Heart OTK. Unleash scary horrors with the first Visas Lore Theme!
