Strategic Summary:
Welcome to today’s CDP, featuring a hybrid build inspired by comments to one of my prior videos! Today’s strategy embodies making the most of synergetic engines, with both the Sacred Beast engine, centered around Dark Beckoning Beast and Opening of the Spirit Gates, combined with the Bystial engine, consisting of The Bystial Lubellion and his Level 6 DARK Dragon followers. The way this combination works best is through a specific combo, using the a Sacred Beast starter to tutor the other, then eventually tutoring and Normal Summoning Chaos Summoning Beast. From there, your two DARK Fiends can be used as Link Material for Spright Sprind, which sends Shinobi Necro to the GY. Having a Lubellion here makes this combo start to resemble something scary, as you can tutor any of your Level 6 Bystial monsters, such as Bystial Saronir, to banish Shinobi and ultimately summon it onto your field via its effect when banished. Summoning Lubellion back from the GY gives you 2 + 8 for a Level 10 Synchro Summon, such as for Bystial Dis Pater (YGOrg Translation), and you now have a Level 10 monster on board to take full advantage of your Sacred Beast support cards. Obviously this was just a two-card combo, but acting as if it ends there is a bit disingenious, as you still can use the effect of Opening of the Spirit Gates to bring back a Dark Beckoning Beast, Dis Pater to bring back Shinobi Necro, and Synchro Summon a Herald of the Arc Light.
But this deck is a lot more than just the sum of one combo. With tech options such as Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard and Agido the Ancient Sentinel, you can quickly mill tons of cards to the GY to sift back into your hand with Opening of the Spirit Gates and Awakening of the Sacred Beasts. For my version of the build, I elected to use Deck Lockdown and Crackdown, but there are plenty of other solid Continuous Spell and Trap Options to take advantage of. Or if you’d prefer not to go the Sprind into Shinobi route, you have access to Decode Talker Heatsoul, Chaos Angel (YGOrg Translation), I:P Masquerena, and so much more. You could even make PSY-Framelord Lambda and a PSY-Framelord Omega to tutor out PSY-Framegear Gamma for an extra disruption during the opponent’s turn.
