Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP takes us back to merging multiple subthemes together, as I set off on a quest to make Ryzeal decks even more frustrating than Ryzeal Detonator already makes them? How? Well, let’s just make your opponents’ monsters drop to 0 ATK, banish everything they try to do, then add a Detonator on top of it. To paint this picture for you, let’s start with the Ryzeal – they’re all Level 4, they love to Xyz Summon, and they have great extenders. Whether it is Ice Ryzeal kicking things into high gear, or your choice of Node Ryzeal, Ext Ryzeal, Star Ryzeal, or Sword Ryzeal adding additional monsters to leverage for Xyz Summons, the wide pool of R4NK Xyz Monsters truly becomes your wealth of possibilities. But per my earlier premise, I want to do other things first to take that even further… so I did.
Introducing the HERO side of the deck, led by none other than Masked HERO Fountain (YGOrg Translation). This new Level 4 WATER Warrior can be revealed from your hand to Special Summon any HERO, then if sent to the GY by or to activate a card effect, it sets Mask Change to your board. Not only is Fountain alone yet another Level 4, but it also pairs extremely well with Masked HERO Dusk Crow (YGOrg Translation), a Level 4 DARK Warrior that can Special Summon itself from the hand and tutor a copy of Fountain. Dusk Crow is only an Elemental HERO Stratos, Elemental HERO Shadow Mist, Foolish Burial, Reinforcement of the Army, or A HERO Lives away! And, if you happen to have multiple options, you also can grab Evil HERO Adusted Gold along the way, adding Evil HERO Darkest Knight to your endboard, before hitting your Ryzeal Xyz lock. What else can you do? Well ending on a Dusk Crow or Shadow Mist also gives you the ability to Mask Change into Masked HERO Dark Law, and if you need something even more, Miracle Fusion and Favorite Contact exist as a way to turn your Masked HEROes into Contrast HERO Chaos! Invoke hidden potential, with the Ryzeal and the HEROes!
