The best that Pendulums have to offer!
Replays:
Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP shows what I came up with to take on the Ryu-Ge archetype, the red-headed stepchild of Crossover Breakers, now that it has received its first wave of additional support in Alliance Insight… and boy does the new cards give the deck new life. First up though, if you missed my last take on Ryu-Ge, be sure to check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tjZgQIXWlQ
Now that you’re back, let’s talk about their new cards. Most important is that they received a second Pendulum monster in Tensei Ryu-Ge Anva (YGOrg Translation), a DARK Dragon that protects your Ryu-Ge Spell Card and effect activations while in the Pendulum Zone. Or, you can choose to Special Summon it from the hand by tributing another Ryu-Ge monster. When Special Summoned, it destroys a card on the field, and when it itself is destroyed, it places the other new Ryu-Ge card from your Deck, GY, or Banishment on the field. That other new card is the Continuous Trap – Ryu-Ge Ruin (YGOrg Translation). Ruin’s claim to fame is its ability to return 2 Ryu-Ge from your GY and/or banishment into the Deck to destroy a monster on the field. Why is this important? Well it triggers Sosei Ryu-Ge Mistva, but it also gives the deck much-needed recovery to allow for multiple activations of Ryu-Ge War Zone over the course of a duel. Also, don’t forget that War Zone now doesn’t need the original trio – it can bring out the new Tensei from the deck. Together, these new cards add multiple new control elements to a deck that already had a decent chunk of them, giving the theme an even higher power ceiling. All that’s left for today’s build is to pair that with other themes that can get you there, hence the Dracoslayer core.
The modern Dracoslayer deck combines support from the Igknight, Majespecter, and Dinomist themes and unlocks the sheer combo power of the Pendulum mechanic. With Ignis Phoenix, the Dracoslayer summoning another as a Tuner from the deck when destroyed to Majesty Pegasus, the Dracoslayer tutoring any Field Spell, aka War Zone or Sky Iris, this deck has the tools it requires to reach success. It also pairs well with other Pendulum support cards, like a Majespecter engine or a Performage engine after the new Maze of the Master support comes out. Performage Plushfire is back to being a threat, especially when combined with Anva’s destruction even if you don’t have Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer. Of course, Pendulum decks lead to and through Beyond the Pendulum, and while that is your best avenue to Sosei, it also serves as the start of the optimal endboard for this deck, looping Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer so many times that you can establish a fully fleshed out board of Link monsters, including Firewall Dragon Singularity – THAT CAN SPIN 4 CARDS!!! This deck truly is something special, so be sure to quell your Wavering Eyes and focus on the power of what is in front of you!

Tbh, one of your best Deck lists yet. Unique and crazy powerful, giving ryu-ge a chance in the meta. Huge respect for ya.
But pendulums … They are way too busted.
