Make the most of the meta trend of throwing Adventurer in everything!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back to another profile, this time following the meta by throwing Adventurer alongside another archetype, in this case the Red-Eyes. The Adventurer archetype has quickly soared to become one of the most splashed archetypes in the game, centered around Rite of Aramesir, Fateful Adventure, and Wandering Gryphon Rider. However, today I wanted to take full advantage of both the Equip aspect of the archetype and its ability to board multiple Level 7s with the addition of the new Illegal Knight (YGOrg Translation). With that, let’s talk Red-Eyes. This archetype has been all over the place over the years, with Equip, Fusion, Xyz, Burn support… Quite frankly it’s a mess. Instead of focusing on the Burn or Fusion sides, the Adventurer archetype will be used to supplement the other two, Equips and Xyz. Let me explain how.
So first, the Level 7s – the Red-Eyes Xyz strategy has always been to field Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon to slowly whittle the opponent’s LP away for each card or effect they activate. Against many archetypes, that 500 LP apiece will add up quickly, especially if Flare also gives you a Red-Eyes Black Dragon for additional Burn damage with Red-Eyes Soul (YGOrg Translation). Plus, the addition of Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon (YGOrg Translation) now gives the Red-Eyes theme an even easier path to their Xyz monsters, as it summons itself from the hand as a Level 7 monster! On the equip side, Gearfried the Red-Eyes Iron Knight can send its equipped card to revive a Red-Eyes monster from your GY. Since the Adventurer Equip cards all can re-equip themselves to an Adventurer Token when sent to the GY, this makes Gearfried’s effect a net positive in card advantage. As for the Adventurer Equips, Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon serves as a great way to out threats without relying on a monster effect – perfect against pesky Mystic Mine or Skill Drain. Finally, the Red-Eyes cards have always been great at getting additional control elements into play, such as with Red-Eyes Fang with Chain, so the addition of the Adventurer engine pairs nicely for a disruption playstyle. While this may not be the best Adventurer combo, it sure is a fun casual way to make the most of the theme! And there’s no reason to not have that fun every once in a while!
