Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another CDP, this time inspired by my take on a recently-posted, cool OCG build to maximize the potential of the Star Seraph engine. For those who have never followed my channel, I've always been a sucker for trying to resolve Star Seraph Scepter + Star Seraph Sovereignty, since the combination of those two cards alone lead to an insane swing in card advantage. Alone, you get 2 free draws, then you get an additional pop and draw once you use Scepter and two copies of Sovereignty for an Xyz Summon. That should be enough to swing most duels, but what makes this strategy even better is if you pop your own card, such as Toy Soldier or Toy Tank, to gain even more card advantage!That's right folks, we're about to PLUS. Speaking of plussing and card advantage, have you seen what Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer can do, if you pair Special Summon him with 2 lovely set Toy monsters off of Toy Box? That's right, 2 Performapal searches, 2 free GY summons, and yes, even more draws will be in your future. Since Performapal Skullcrobat Joker is a Spellcaster monster, you can even access the Performapal side of your deck off of Seventh Tachyon, which can always be a welcome addition. Where this deck truly goes off the rails is when you start leveraging the new Umbral Horror support wave as your 3-material R4NK of choice.
You see, Number 104: Masquerade Vain (YGOrg Translation) is just great at what it does - make you more card advantage. First, it has a soft once-per-turn to detach a material and tutor a Barian's S/T, such as Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force. Throw in Number 69: Heraldry Crest to trigger that effect again, and then Rank-Up into Number 69: Heraldry Crest - Shatter Stream, and you're off to the races. Oh, then you can trigger it once more via Number 39: Utopia Rising. By then, you'll have all the R4NK Xyz Monsters you'll need to overcome the opponent. And if you don't, well Seventh Barian's (YGOrg Translation) is going to slowly eat away at your opponent's LP, 400 at a time for each Xyz Monster on the field during the End Phase. Oh, and did you know that if you use Rank-Up-Magic Magical Force to bring back Masquerade to Xyz Summon Performage Trapeze High Magician, you can even reflect the damage you would take from Seventh Barian's onto your opponent as well? Don't twist yourself into knots, just try out this Xyz-empowered circus by combining so many fun R4NK engines into one cohesive pile!
