Dreameater or Dream Defender?
Replays:
Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the return of the Nemleria archetype, a group of Level 10 monsters that support the Level 1 Pendulum Monster, Dreaming Nemleria. Once Dreaming Nemleria is in your Extra Deck while you have no face-down cards in your Extra Deck, the true power of this deck is unlocked, as Dreaming can return to the field and banish your opponent’s cards face-down. So how do we get to that point? It all starts with Dream Tower of Princess Nemleria, which tutors 2 Level 10 Beast monsters by banishing 2 face-down cards from your Extra Deck. Your choices include Nemleria Dream Defender – Oreiller, for offense, Nemleria Dream Defender – Couette, for protection, or Nemleria Dreameater – Reveil (YGOrg Translation), for disruption. The last is a new arrival for the theme in Duelist Nexus, but it is most useful for tutoring the Trap Card Nemleria Louve (YGOrg Translation), which can Special Summon a Nemleria monster from your Deck. This is important to Special Summon Nemleria Realiser, the Dreamaterializer Sleeping Princess (YGOrg Translation), which is a Book of Moon attached to a Level 10 monster!
Now that we’ve covered the core archetype, let’s talk about the others in today’s cast. The Kaiju is pretty high on that list of importance, as they serve as great targeted removal to tribute away an opponent’s threat. Also, once you do so and your opponent controls a Kaiju, you will be able to Special Summon a Kaiju monster to your own field as well! If you add Kyoutu Waterfront to the mix, you even can accumulate Kaiju Counters on the field to tutor more Kaiju and unlock their powerful effects. In addition to the Kaiju engine, I’m also using Eater of Millions and Gren Maju Da Eiza, both are key monsters for any strategy that will be banishing tons of cards face-down (especially since the first can clear out your whole Extra Deck for you). Dreams or nightmares, this hybrid strategy may just be the best way to utilize the new Nemleria theme – or am I just Dreaming Nemleria?
