Equipping for Everyone, once dance at a time!

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the new Deck-Build support for the Mikanko archetype, brought to you by the OCG! That’s right, the Mikanko archetype got new support, and all three cards are super amazing in their own ways. First up, we have Mikanko Divine Dance – Futahashira no Uzu no Miko (YGOrg Translation), a Spell that sends a Mikanko card from Deck to the GY then sets a Mikanko S/T to your backrow. This gives you access to just about anything you need in the deck, whether it is a Ritual Summon with Mikanko Kagura, an Equip then Special Summon with Mikanko Water Arabesque, or simply an impending OTK with Heavenly Gate of the Mikanko. Supporting the deck’s OTK dream, they also received a new boss monster in the R3NK Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko (YGOrg Translation), which tutors or recovers an Equip Spell on Summon and can attack multiple times per turn to mirror damage onto the opponent. This of course combos excellently with Double-Edged Sword, but it also can give you an edge if you must go first. As for the last new card, Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee (YGOrg Translation) makes it more easy than ever to spam Level 3 Mikanko monsters, summoning another from the Deck when it is equipped.
Given this solid core, it only makes sense to me to round out the deck with plenty of solid all-around toolbox options. From Forbidden Droplet to support board breaking and disruption to Diviner of the Herald to serve as a starter that gets you to Oohime, this deck can truly put some heavy pressure on the opponent to throw everything they can into winning in one turn. Why? Because the Mikanko deck will most likely win if the opponent leaves any monster on their board with higher than 1000 ATK or DEF… Even if you can’t win through reflected battle damage alone, a Ritual Summon with Kagura can often inflict the final effect damage to seal the deal.

Can it really be called a creative deck profile when it’s just an archetype?
Hi there! I actually hadn’t covered pure Mikanko, but i had covered it as an engine, as half of a core, even as recently as last year. With the new support having such hard locks, i just thought it was a good opportunity to showcase what it can do on its own.
Not every build i make is going to be a ridiculous hybrid, as my goal has been and continues to be to showcase potential. Sometimes that will have to be in a pure build, and I’m good with that. You’re totally good to not be, youre entitled to your own reaction, but either way, ill have a hybrid build coming your way next!
