Pendulums; meet some new Friends.

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another Creative Deck Profile, this time swinging right into action with the FIRE/Psychic Metalfoes Pendulum theme. This archetype consists of Pendulum Monsters of scales 1 and 8 that aim to destroy and Fusion Summon as much as possible. Most of the monsters share the same Pendulum Effect – they can destroy another face-up card you control to set any Metalfoes S/T from the Deck. Typically, this will be used to grab your Fusion Spells, such as Metalfoes Fusion or Parametalfoes Fusion, which enable access to the biggest key monster in your Extra Deck – Metalfoes Mithrilium. You see, whenever this Level 6 Fusion is sent from the Field to the GY, it Special Summons a Metalfoes Pendulum from your GY or Extra Deck. This effect also doesn’t have a hard once-per-turn, so the goal of the build is very much to abuse that effect as much as possible while linking up to bigger and bigger threats, the newest of which is Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames. This LINK-3 monster also happens to be able to Special Summon a FIRE monster from your GY – cough cough, Mithrilium – enabling even more fun plays.
Where the Metalfoes theme has always shined has been its ability to enable other card by destroying them, and today’s build is no exception, as today’s build is all about destroying Box of Friends. This Level 1 LIGHT monster may be tutored via the effect of Doll Happiness, but whenever the Box is destroyed, it Special Summons 2 Normal Monsters with either 0 ATK or 0 DEF from your deck. It just so happens that Metalfoes Steelen exists, with 0 ATK, and the two Normal Pendulum monsters, Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer and Vector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord, happen to have 0 DEF. This means that when you destroy a Box of Friends with your Parametalfoes Melcaster or Raremetalfoes Bismugear, you’ll get both the Fusion Spell and the two materials needed for Metalfoes Mithrilium, or Fullmetalfoes Alkahest if you so choose. The two Draco Pendulum monsters are not only useful for Metalfoes combos – they’re also the members of the two archetypes that use Draco Face-Off, giving you yet another way to get the Pendulum Scales or just additional Link Material you may need. As for the rest of the build, everything else is designed to support this strategy, whether it is the Sinful Spoils engine to grab a Bismugear or Snake-Eye Ash, or Beyond the Pendulum and Exceed the Pendulum which lets you dive full force into the Pendulum mechanic. Mix up the joy of alloys, with the help of Metalfoes and a Box of Friends!

I want to see what you can do with a Aroma/Vaalmonica deck featuring the upcoming Aromalylith cards. Its a deck idea I’m building focusing on gaining life points to both activate aroma monster effects, as well as to quickly build Resonance Counters to weaken my opponent’s field in order to help keep my Aroma monsters around longer, with a Prime Material Dragon thrown in to stop Anti-Cure strategies should I run into them.
I want to see what you can come up with that might help me refine my deck further
Hi there! I have that written down as something to explore. I’m not fully sold on Prime Material right now, but I have some thoughts on the greater hybrid that may bear fruit.
Thanks for the recommendation!!
