CDP: Materiactor Tenpai Armored Xyz, post-ALIN Support

Now that you’re back, let’s talk about the newest additions to the theme. First up is their brand-new Field Spell, Materiactor Meltthrough (YGOrg Translation). First, this Field Excavates the top 6 cards of your deck on activation, letting you arrange them as you wish, but more importantly, it lets you pay 1500 to faux-Xyz Summon a Materiactor Xyz monster using just 1 Level 3 Normal Monster you control. Like Materiactor Meltdown before it, it also has an effect to attach the top card of your deck to a Materiactor Xyz, Meltthrough just does so when a monster is Xyz Summoned! As for the other new card, it is an in-theme Level 3 Normal Monster, but they did something cool by making it a Pendulum! Prima Materiactor (YGOrg Translation) is a LIGHT Dragon, and synergizes extremely well with this deck. Not only does it satisfy the deck’s need for a random Level 3 Normal monster, but it also has two Pendulum Effects that greatly support the deck. First, it boosts ATK of all Xyz Monsters you control by the number of Xyz Material, and second, it can attach itself to a Materiactor to draw a card. The first ATK boost stacks up extremely quickly – heck, just look at how many Xyz Material I stack up in the replays, but the second effect makes the most of the rearranging of your deck, letting you draw a specific card you need.

Now that I’ve introduced you to the new cards, let’s talk about what I did with the rest of the deck. Of course, we already have a ton of Level 3 monsters, so why not take that even further by also including the Tenpai archetype? Known for its ability to OTK out of nowhere, the Tenpai also have a good affinity for flooding the field with Dragons. While they typically aim to Synchro Summon, there is nothing stopping Tenpai Dragon Fadra from turning into 2 Level 3 monsters for a Materiactor Exagard summon! Outside of this engine, I’ve decided to include a ton of Level 3 handtraps – when so many cards are attached from your Deck to Exagard, having an assortment of options to add back to your hand with its effect can be ‘Materiactor Critical‘, so to speak On the other hand, if you attach a Trap Card like Dominus Impulse, you can always just turn to Materiactor Annulus to set it back to your board. Either way, plenty of Dragons and Xyz Material to go around, so make the most of it with this nuclear-fueled Dragon deck!
