Worship the Moon, Fusion, and Links!

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP was built to celebrate one of the best ways to play the Lunalight archetype in the current game, as requested by a viewer at home. The Lunalight archetype consists of DARK and LIGHT Beast-Warrior monsters that aim to Fusion Summon up a ladder of Fusion Monsters, from Lunalight Cat Dancer to Lunalight Leo Dancer. To support this, they have their own unique twist on a Fusion Spell in Lunalight Fusion, as it can use a monster in the Extra Deck as material for a Fusion Summon of a Lunalight monster, as long as your opponent controls a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Even if they don’t, this deck works hand-in-hand with Polymerization, as Lunalight Black Sheep can be discarded to tutor a copy. Outside of this nifty Fusion ability, this theme also is known for Luna Light Perfume and Lunalight Serenade Dance, two support S/Ts that can be banished from the GY to trigger an additional effect. The first lets you discard and tutor a Lunalight monster, while the second sends a card from the hand to the GY then Special Summons a Lunalight monster from the deck. These give the deck great consistency, especially once you use Lunalight Kaledio Chick a few times to send your Lunalight monsters to the GY!
As for the second half of this deck, I’m deploying the Tri-Brigade archetype to make the most of all the Lunalight monsters you’ll be sending to the GY. With the ability to banish these Beast-Warriors from the GY as pseudo-Link Material, you can provide additional effects such as that of Tri-Brigade Shuraig the Ominous Omen or Ancient Warriors Oath – Double Dragon Lords to banish or bounce an opponent’s threat. A traditional ‘pure’ Lunalight build doesn’t really have that, which is where this hybrid starts to shine. That said, even if you banish your Lunalight monsters, they still won’t be out of reach, as Lunalight Emerald Bird can Special Summon a banished Lunalight monster whenever it is sent to the GY via card effect. My favorite way to do so is via the effect of Outer Entity Nyarla, since it can detach its Xyz Material then re-equip an Emerald Bird from the GY, looping its effect turn after turn. To close I just have one thing to say: Fusion for the moon!

Cool deck as always, I’m looking forward to the Valkyrie and Illusion ones! I’d really like to make a deck for the latter without ties to an existing series/ archetype like Chimera.
I love Valks, too bad they are too slow these days. Thinking of combine Valks with Solfas, to make Valks more playable. Got a deck recipe in mind too 😁
