Creative Deck Profile: Inzektor Hauteclere

Did someone mention Killer Hornets!?

Replays:

Strategic Summary:

Despite their expected support on the horizon due to the TCG’s recent CAC poll, I wanted to showcase the power of this Xyz-era Insect theme as it stands today (with intriguing tech choices of course). The Inzektor archetype, comprised of DARK insect monsters, embodies the very essence of the equip mechanic. Each of their primary monsters can equip other Inzektors to themselves, then certain Inzektors gain additional effects while equipped (such as Inzektor Hornet which gains the ability to send itself to the GY to destroy another card on the field). Finally, there is Inzektor Dragonfly and Inzektor Centipede, who give you card advantage when an equip card leaves the field. As a result, this is the perfect setting to fit in equip spells, such as “Infernoble Arms – Hauteclere” which destroy themselves, or insect equip cards, such as Cocoon of Ultra Evolution! Beyond that, the best way to trigger Dragonfly multiple times in a turn has always been to turn Hornet on itself, so that still remains an option here! Finally, this build is wrapped up neat with a bow with the help of Inzektor Picofalena, the theme’s Link monster that grants these bugs even more consistency. So break out those hornets and sting your way to victory!
