Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another CDP, this time invigorating the premiere Normal Monster support theme, the Primite, with a new Normal Monster support theme, the Bunnillin! The Bunnillin theme is led by Bunnillin: Mocha MOD (YGOrg Translation), a Level 4 LIGHT Cyberse that Special Summons itself from the hand by sending a Normal Monster with 2000 or less ATK or DEF from Deck to GY. When summoned, it places a Bunnillin Continuous S/T from Deck or GY onto your field. For now, your choices are: Bunnillin Soft (YGOrg Translation), a Continuous Trap that can summon 2 Normal Monsters back from your GY simultaneously while also adding back any card from your GY whenever a Level 5 or higher Normal Monster with 2000 or less ATK is summoned, and Bunnillin Extract (YGOrg Translation), a Continuous Spell that lets you destroy a card your opponent controls when a Level 5 or higher Normal Monster with 2000 or less ATK is summoned or attacks. All in all, this is a fairly compact engine, and it augments everything the Primite theme does quite well.Moving right along to the Primite, this is probably an engine you all know. This engine features Primite Dragon Ether Beryl and Primite Lordly Lode to tutor all of your support cards, Primite Imperial Dragon to negate and/or banish your opponent's monsters, and Primite Drillbeam to do that to a single targeted card. Most importantly, they have a great Fusion boss in Primite Dragon Nether Berzelius, and especially when you can afford to run 6 Normal Monsters, it can quickly stack up to negate all of the activated effects of monsters the opponent controls! Personally, my favorite part of the Primite strategy is now to pair it with Dark Magical Curtain, since you can readily return Dark Magician back into the deck to resummon later, just by using Primite Fusion! In fact, this combination also enables Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon to be able to destroy and burn the opponent, if you use The Gaze of Timeaus on Dark Magician of course.
The last few cards to highlight are just good cards that support Normal Monsters in general. Today I've included a few, starting with Dragolithia Kunzite, an EARTH Dragon that gets a Normal Monster card from Deck to GY and summons itself. Then there's Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon, which pretty much offers the exact same benefits. As far as unreleased-to-the-TCG cards, there's also Stage of Destiny (YGOrg Translation), a Normal Trap that can summon as many Normal Monsters from your hand/GY as possible, and Ancient Secrets (YGOrg Translation), a Normal Spell that offers you the choice of 4 powerful effects just by controlling a Normal Monster card. Watch everything come together, when you play a Normal-Monster centric deck, now with the help of the Bunnillin!
QNote: this video was finalized prior to the reveal of the nuclear F/L list at Houston, so apologies if it needs some adjustments before use.
