Freeze out your opponent with this Aquatic theme!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for a standard profile, this time centering on the latest WATER archetype, the Icejade. With BACH, the theme finally carries enough cards for a solid gameplan and way to control the duel, so it’s about time that I devote an entire article to playing with them! It all starts with Icejade Cradel, a Normal Spell that tutors any Icejade monster from your deck that you don’t have a copy of on your field or in the GY. With no restrictions, this Spell gives the theme enough versatility to search whatever it needs. Take Icejade Agel (YGOrg Translation) for example, a starter that searches an Icejade Spell/Trap upon summon. Also, it carries a potent effect to deter the opponent from selecting it as an attack or effect target. Icejade Empress Cosmocroix (YGOrg Translation) is your boss monster and carries the most unique effect in the deck. With 3000 defense, it is highly defensive in nature, but whenever a Field Spell is faceup, you can Special Summon it from the hand. Then, while Icejade Depths Inion Cradle (YGOrg Translation) is on the field, your opponent can’t activate the effect of monsters they control, except the turn they were summoned. This is insanely good at allowing you to play through monster-based disruption, a feature of the modern YGO era.
Beyond supporting the new boss, the Field Spell itself also carries two beneficial effects. First, it recovers an Icejade from the GY or that is banished upon activation, and second it douses all of your opponent’s monsters once per turn when a monster is summoned, reducing the original ATK of 1 WATER monster you control and the same amount against all monsters your opponent controls. Combine this with your Level 10 boss to have the perfect tribute to summon Egyptian God Slime, or simply link it away for some of the Marincess boss link monsters. On that topic, I’m also running a Deep Sea engine in here, as that gives the deck even more potential to go into Marincess Great Bubble Reef, Crystron Halqifibrax, Marincess Coral Anenome, and more! And don’t forget the synergy of the high-leveled Icejade monsters with Deep Sea Repetiteur! Don’t wait for the beach to erode, dive straight to the Cradle depths with the Icejade!
