Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another CDP, and this time I’m leveraging the first Hecahands support wave and presenting them in a ‘closer to pure’ approach than my first take. If interested, be sure to check out my build combining them with Sinful Spoils here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdrMuinLztA .

Now that you’re back, let’s talk about the new support the theme has received. First up is Hecahands Makibel (YGOrg Translation), a new Level 6 that can reveal itself in hand to Fusion Summon a Hecahands, also, if any Illusion Fusion makes its way to your GY, it can add itself back to hand. Joining Makibel is a new Fusion as well, Hecahands Dandalos (YGOrg Translation), which has the simple effect to just take control of a monster your opponent controls. Dandalos is the theme’s answer to going 2nd, as it also lets your Hecahands Fusions and monsters your opponent owns attack directly, letting you seal duels. Next up from the new support is Bayt’al-Hecahands (YGOrg Translation), a new Continuous Trap that tributes a Hecahands or monster your opponent owns to take control of one of their monsters. Then the last new card is Transient Masquerader of Illusion (YGOrg Translation), a generic Level 8 support card that can Special Summon itself from the GY and send an Illusion to the GY, pairing extremely well with all of your normal combos.

So how else do we empower the Hecahands theme beyond just turning to new support? Let’s add in some small engines that add outsized benefits! For one, I turned to the Shining Sarcophagus engine, led by Dark Magicial Girl the Magician’s Apprentice. You see, DMGtMA is a free ticket to making Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon once you factor in Dark Magician of Destruction and The Gaze of Timaeus, but in here, it also gives you a second Level 8 monster in Gandora-G the Dragon of Destruction to make your The Zombie Vampire as well, one of the strongest options for a Hecahands deck. One of the other things I like about this engine is that it lets you access Four Charmers in Profusion (YGOrg Translation), then use it to Special Summon back both S:P Little Knight and Dragoon. Why is this important? Well, it will make your key endboard pieces immune to Super Polymerization, one of the most common monster-removal options of choice currently. Make a handshake deal with the Illusion Type, with the help of the Hecahands!
