Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another CDP, this time featuring the last of the 3 Legendary ARC-V Decks to receive support - the Speedroid! The Speedroid strategy consists of WIND Machines that are extremely efficient at summoning any and all forms of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, in addition to other Hi-Speedroid Synchro monsters that all aim to accelerate the duel so fast that your opponent cannot keep pace. Their newest addition is Speedroid Darumaknocker, a Level 4 Machine Tuner that can Summon itself from hand by sending any other Speedroid card from Deck to GY, then when it is sent from the field to GY, it also tutors a Speedroid S/T for your trouble. Given that Speedroid Dupligate, Darumaknocker is yet another one-card starter for the theme, enabling you to immediately go into Hi-Speedroid Rubber Band Shooter, get copies of both Speedroid Red-Eyed Dice and Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke into the GY, and still search out Speedroid Colonel Clackers to end up with Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon and Crystal Clear Wing Over Synchro Dragon, without using your Normal Summon. Not a bad opening, especially if you follow that up with Dragunity plays, so let's go there next.
On the flip side of the Speedroid theme, the Dragunity archetype is all about using WIND Dragons and Winged Beasts to Synchro Summon fearsome Dragon boss monsters. While you sacrifice the wider pool of non-WIND Dragon Synchros by using such a heavy Speedroid engine that carry WIND locks, what you gain is a heightened specialization on the things that make the Dragunity engine worth it, such as Dragunity Lord - Georgius, especially when equipped with another Dragunity card. Not only does that shut down the opponent's ability to activate monster effects in the GY, but it also gives you multiple other Quick Effect negates for even more interactions during the opponent's turn. Plus, the Dragunity doesn't really need the Speedroid cards to build its board and execute it's gameplan - the Speedroid are simply an extra cherry on top, especially if you already drew into a copy of Dragon Ravine, Dragunity Remus, or Dragunity Quirinus, all of which can initiate a full Dragunity combo. Unleash your need for speed, now also with Dragons!
