Dark Guardian is here!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back to the profile selected by you to be one of my next profiles, and this time we’re featuring the Gate Guardian theme with its newest wave of support cards from PHNI: Dark Element (YGOrg Translation) and Dark Guardian (YGOrg Translation). I’ve covered the Gate Guardian theme a few times so far, most recently with the Gold Pride archetype, so check that out here: https://ygorganization.com/cdp_gggp/.
Now that you’re up to speed with the theme, let’s talk about what the new support cards brings. First up is Dark Element – whenever you have a Gate Guardian monster in the GY, Element can let you pay half your LP to Special Summon a Level 11 or higher Gate Guardian monster from your Deck or Extra Deck. In other words, this can be used to bring out Gate Guardians Combined of course, but you also can choose to bring out the new Dark Guardian as well. Dark Guardian is a Level 12 DARK Warrior that lives in the Main Deck, that can Special Summon itself from the hand or GY by shuffling a one each of Sanga of the Thunder, Kazejin, and Suijin (GG Materials) back into your deck, from your hand, field, GY, or banished cards. If you happened to summon it with Element instead, it is also unaffected by Monster effects and Spell effects, giving you a nice powerful monster. Where this card truly shines is its ability to combo with the Gate Guardian cards – simply get your three GG Materials to the GY, banish all 3 for Combined, then you can shuffle the three back to rinse and repeat while bringing out Dark Guardian!
Now that we’re through the Gate Guardian side, let’s talk Tearlaments. The Tearlaments archetype has ripped through the game for quite some time now, offering amazing milling capabilities and solid Fusion support by shuffling back materials to make free Fusion monsters. In today’s build, you won’t really be using the Tearlaments to Fusion Summon Gate Guardian monsters, but you sure will be using them to mill your pieces and S/T support cards to the GY. You see, all the Gate Guardian support cards can banish themselves from the GY to tutor a GG Material, and you’re golden to keep going. Between Tearlaments Scream and the milling effects of Tearlaments Scherien, Tearlaments Merrli, and Tearlaments Kashtira, your GY will be set to convert into card advantage. And yes, with mass milling like this, you can even safely run Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard and Agido the Ancient Sentinel for even more mass milling! This is really just a modern day version of using Lightsworn to mass mill cards. Combine this all together, and you form a deck that can make multiple Gate Guardians Combined, sometimes even with multiple Dark Guardians, all on the first turn. And since Combined floats into more Gate Guardian Fusion monsters, you will have everything you need to win the duel through sheer force of will. See how the Gate Guardians stack up against the competition, when you combine them with the Tearlaments!
