Strategic Summary:

Welcome back for another enhanced CDP, this time taking back on the Generaider/Trickstar hybrid concept I first debuted about a year ago. Be sure to check out the original version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmTd0ZP5CZ8

Now that you’re back, let’s talk about what I haven’t changed – the Generaider lineup. After further use of the deck over the past year, I’ve become even more confident in this, as each included Generaider monster serves a specific role, with Vala, Seidhr of the Generaider Bosses serving as the key. It brings another Generaider from your hand or GY along for the ride whenever it is Special Summoned, serving as your primary access to a R9NK Xyz Summon. I’ve also largely kept the same Trap lineup, with a focus on enabling the Trickstar Reincarnation/Droll & Lock Bird combo as much as possible, with the help of Trap Tracks. Speaking of the Trickstar, this is the biggest change point, as the entire approach to the Trickstar has changed.

In place of Trickstar Candina, I’ve instead dedicated the Normal Summon to Diviner of the Herald, since it sends Trias Hierarchia from the Deck to the GY on Summon. Once you do, Trias can come back, triggering Diviner to summon Trickstar Nightshade out of your deck. Nightshade serves two purposes: first it brings itself back when sent to the GY as Link Material, letting you ladder up into a Trickstar LINK-2. Second, Trickstar Bloom, the LINK-1 in that combo, makes your opponent draw a card during the chain, letting you trigger Generaider Boss Stage on your own terms. This also brings us to the other new Trickstar, Trickstar Noble Angel (YGOrg Translation) , which tutors out Maiden of Blue Tears (YGOrg Translation) on Summon. Not only this gives your board an additional form of disruption in a pinch. Also supporting the Trickstar side of this deck is Trickstar Hoodie (YGOrg Translation) and Trickstar Fusion, enabling the Fusion Summon of Trickstar Band Drummatis. This is the new path for tutoring out a copy of Trickstar Reincarnation, enabling that key combo I touched on earlier.

One final thing before we wrap up – I also need to highlight the TCG World Premiere card that significantly helps the Generaider Boss archetype: QQ Enneagon. This Level 9 FIRE Dinosaur can summon itself from the hand or GY and bring another Level 9 from your hand along for the ride, much like Vala. Not only does this make for a great option to bring out with World Legacy Monstrosity, but it also just gives you yet another extender for more complex play potential.
