Burn with the might of Salamandra!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another Creative Deck Profile, and this time I’m showcasing another Attribute Hybrid! Today’s build combines two FIRE decks into one cohesive strategy, so let’s fan these flames by talking about the theme designed around Joey’s 1st, no 2nd, no maybe 3rd favorite monster… The Flame Swordsman strategy has a number of powerful consistency cards with one goal of Fusion Summoning Ultimate Flame Swordsman with as little resource investment as possible. In fact, it’s actually possible with a single copy of Fighting Flame Swordsman, as on summon, it can tutor a copy of Flame Swordsrealm. From there, Realm can send Fighting Flame to the GY, bring out the OG Flame Swordsman, triggering its effect to send Salamandra, the Flying Flame Dragon to the GY. In turn, the Dragon tutors Salamandra Fusion, letting you Equip then Fusion Summon Ultimate using your Flame Swordsman. For one card, you get a Fusion boss plus an additional Continuous Spell – not bad. But where this hybrid build shines is that you can do this whole combo, just by destroying Mirage Swordsman with any card effect, to summon that initial Fighting Flame from the Deck.
So how do we destroy Mirage? Well let me ask you a question: have you met any of the Fire King cards? First you have Fire King Island, which can destroy it while searching any Fire King Monster. Next you have Fire King High Avatar Kirin, which can do so even during the opponent’s turn to Special Summon itself. Even Fire King Avatar Arvata or Fire King Avatar Rangbali can do so, while negating an activated effect monster or Spell/Trap card or effect. Or, you can turn to Fire King Consort Ulkanix (YGOrg Translation), which serves as 3 more copies of Island. Combine all these ways to destroy Mirage with Fighting Flame Sword which tutors any card that mentions Flame Swordsman, and you have all of the ways to stomp an unprepared opponent into the dirt… or Volcano if we’re sticking on theme here. Erupt with happiness as you unite two awesome FIRE archetypes into one blast of a strategy!

Not really a deck idea, but more of a simple engine.
– Dotscaper + The Rock Spirit
with the right Link Monsters in your extra deck, you can use those two main deck monsters to link climb up to Link-4 in one turn with no other cards needed. I found the best ones to use this with are:
– Darkness Metal, the Dragon of Dark Steel
– Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax
– Accesscode Talker (either an I:P protected 4500 atk, or 5500 atk. both options are available)
You just have to watch out for an opponent’s Nibiru
Can this deck be built without the Fire King Consort Ulkanix?
Hi! Yes it can, I’ve been using it IRL at my locals, with a slightly different build to account for the lack of Consort. I’ve found that the sheer OTK power the FS theme has is greatly underestimated, especially after the traps are online and you can go for an OTK play during the Battle Phase.
That said, Consort opens up so much power for this deck, so there is a bit left to be desired right now. Not a lot left by anymeans; but a bit.
Ok thanks. I’ve got most of the cards to build the deck.
