A Dramatic Chase intensifies.

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features a casual take on the Snake-Eye builds crushing the meta, as they embrace the Ninjas and the new Sinful Spoils cards from LEDE! If you haven’t seen this archetype before, the Snake-Eye archetype consists of FIRE Pyro monsters, led by Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon, that flood the field with monsters, and utilize the backrow for additional summoning. On the other hand, the Sinful Spoils archetype consists of Spells and Traps that support the Level 7 DARK Spellcaster, Diabellstar the Black Witch, and the Level 7 LIGHT Illusion, Diabellze of the Original Sin (YGOrg Translation). While the Black Witch tutors a new Sinful Spoils card to play with, Original Sin prevents your opponent from activating Spell/Trap Cards that weren’t Set… Wouldn’t it be a shame if they couldn’t set backrow due to something like Dark Simorgh?
To answer my rhetorical question, yes, it would be such a shame. And that’s where the Ninja come in. Led by Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo, this deck has access to other Ninja with Ninjitsu Art of Dancing Leaves, Simorgh with Ninjitsu Art of Transformation, or two powerful Ninja Fusions by converting one of your Snake-Eye monsters into an honorary Ninja with Ninjitsu Art Tool – Iron Digger. The Ninja also have plenty of tools to make card advantage, whether it is through Ninjitsu Art Notebook of Mystery, or just by recovering Ninja card with Baku the Beast Ninja, so you don’t have to lean as heavily on the OP-ness of the Snake-Eyes. Hope you enjoy this hybrid build, but if you don’t, feel free to indulge in the Sinful Spoils of Dozing until my next profile on Wednesday!

deck ideas:
1) Galaxy/Gradius
– a Swarming/Xyz deck focusing on cards like “Victory Viper XX03”, and then using the tokens it summons as fodder to special summon “Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon” (either by empowering Victory Viper, or by using Token Stampede), or use the token’s summoning to trigger the special summon of the new “Galaxy War Drake” (still trying to figure out if you can special summon “Vic Viper T301”, use that to special summon War Drake, use its effect to turn both level 8, then activate “Wonder Xyz” to get a rank 8 monster out, all of it during your opponent’s turn) leading into some Rank 8 Xyz summonings.
2) Memento/Unchained
– using the unchained monsters as additional Memento destruction, or is it using the memento as additional Unchained destruction… anyways the end goal would be to get the graveyard ready, and then chain link summon out “Unchained Abomination” to clear the way for it and a newly summoned Tecuhtlica to both score direct attacks (which would be 8000 damage in total)
Hi there!
1) While I’m a fan of the Gradius monsters, they’re just way too outclassed now, even with the help of Galaxy War Drake. That said, I really love the idea of Drake and can’t wait to experiment with him, especially in something like Cipher. Either way, Imma wait to see what else the LIGHT Duelist Pack holds before experimenting too hard.
2) Memento/Unchained is interesting… I’ve spent a lot of time trying to think of good hybrid builds for Memento so I don’t just keep making pure profiles, so I’ll explore that a bit to see if it’s possible to hybrid the two without loosing too much consistency in either pure deck.
Thanks for the suggestions!
