D/D Gryphon was the best card the archetype could hope for…

Strategic Summary:
Hi all and welcome to my next deck profile, this time centered on the D/D archetype! This theme of DARK Fiend monsters that features every Extra Deck summoning method sure loves making so many awesome combo chains that can threaten many foes. It really all begins with their dual searchers of D/D Savant Kepler and Dark Contract with the Gate. These starter options can then bridge into nearly endless combos, only limited by the composition of your Extra Deck. But that’s not all, because D/D Savant Copernicus can also serve as a rather effective starter as well, especially when it sends D/D Necro Slime or D/D Swirl Slime to the GY with its effect. As far as the biggest key to its combo success nowadays, that tile has to go to D/D Gryphon. This Level 4 Pendulum Monster has three monster effects that all support combo extension, from Special Summoning itself from the hand, to discarding a D/D or Dark Contract card to draw a card when Pendulum Summoned, and tutoring any D/D card when Special Summoned from the GY.
Now what in-theme options can all of this combo potential lead to? Well the best options include: D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried, a Level 8 Synchro monster that can negate the effects of a face-up Spell/Trap card, D/D/D Wave King High Caesar, a Rank-6 Xyz Monster that can negate Spell/Trap or monster effects that include an effect to Special Summon a monster, and D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex, which can attach a monster your opponent controls that activates its effect as Xyz Material. Enhancing these three big bosses are a variety of other supporting D/D/D threats, such as D/D/D Abyss King Gilgamesh which can set both Pendulum Scales, or D/D/D Flame High King Genghis and D/D/D Flame King Genghis which both can Special Summon a D/D monster from your GY when another D/D monster is Special Summoned. Chalk up the LP costs of your Dark Contracts as just the costs of doing business with the D/D/Ds!
