Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP combines two themes that have one small common thread – putting their monsters in the S/T Zone. In today’s build, the Snake-Eye theme reigns supreme as the dominant archetype, led by Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon. If you missed my last profile on this fiery archetype, be sure to check out my take on Infernoid with Snake-Eye, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfHEnX6Ozi0
Now that you’re all caught up, let’s talk about what the Cyberdark monsters are doing in a place like this. You see, Cyberdark Cannon can be discarded in order to tutor a Machine Cyberdark monster, such as Cyberdark Edge or Cyberdark Keel. On the other hand, Cyberdark Claw can be discarded to tutor a Cyberdark S/T, such as Cyberdark World (which tutors a Cyberdark monster), Cyberdark Inferno (which re-summons a Cyberdark monster), and Cyberdark Invasion (which adds additional disruption). Key to this strategy is Cannon and Claw’s other effect, which triggers when sent to the GY while equipped. When you do, Cannon draws a card and Claw recovers any Cyberdark monster. If you don’t see it yet, the synergy here is simple – use Cannon to tutor Edge, Normal Summon Edge to equip Cannon, then send that Cannon for Snake-Eye effects. If you send it to use Snake-Eye Oak’s effect for example, you’ll get both a Snake-Eye monster from the deck and a free draw. This effect is also not once per turn, so if you do it the first time, then follow that up with a Cyberdark Inferno to re-summon your Edge and re-equip your Cannon, you can get another free draw! Beyond the Snake-Eye monsters, this deck can trigger that neat interaction with Diabellstar the Black Witch, Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye, or even Magicians’ Souls. Burn a shadow into the world with the Cyberdark Snake-Eye combination!
