Cloudy with a chance of… Uranus?

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another profile, this time centered on combining the Cloudian archetype with the new The Sanctuary in the Sky support that was just released to the TCG! The Cloudian archetype is a theme of WATER Fairies that are indestructible by battle, yet they have to remain in ATK position, else they are destroyed. Each of the primary monsters also works on a counter system – Fog Counters can be removed to trigger various effects. The key Cloudian monster to pay attention to is Cloudian – Turbulence, a Level 4 monster that can remove a Fog Counter to summon a Cloudian – Smoke Ball from the Deck or GY. Since this effect has no restrictions, if you have a way to generate multiple Fog Counters, you can get a constant stream of more and more Smoke Balls to deploy for any nefarious scheme of your choosing. Supporting this strategy was the recent-ish legacy support for the archetype, Cloudian Aerosol, which can discard a Cloudian to distribute Fog Counters OR it can be banished from the GY with another Cloudian monster to summon any Cloudian directly from your deck. Back to those Smoke Balls – these loveable Normal monsters is the key to making so many plays and Link Summons. In particular, they’re great for making the new Link monster – Protector of the Agents – Moon, transitioning perfectly to the Agent side of the deck.
The Agent archetype has always had a tangential connection to the The Sanctuary in the Sky, a Field Spell that prevents battle damage when your Fairy monsters battle. While this effect is perfect for the Cloudians, the Sanctuary archetype has never been consistent enough until now, with the addition of the new The Sacred Waters in the Sky tutor spell and The Agent of Life – Neptune. For the first, Sacred Waters can tutor Sanctuary itself or any monster that lists the card in its text, and for the second, Neptune tutors The Sanctuary in the Sky whenever it is banished. One way to banish it is the new Majesty Hyperion, which can summon itself from the GY and transfer all battle damage you would take from battles involving your Fairy monsters to the opponent. Combine this with a field of Smoke Balls, and you can inflict heavy damage quickly to an unsuspecting opponent. Another option is to combine those Smoke Balls with The Agent of Entropy – Uranus, which is a Level 5 Tuner that summons itself from the hand while you control The Sanctuary in the Sky. Combine that with its level modulation effect, and you can easily summon a few Synchro threats such as The Executor of the Underworld – Pluto. All in all, this is just a fun hybrid build to take advantage of the new support, so enjoy the Divine Punishment of the Fallen Sanctuary support, raining a bit of cloudy weather on their parade.
