Centurion returns with its final card!

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back to a special, off-cycle CDP, this time dropping to celebrate the final overpowered card to support the new Centurion theme in the latest deck build pack. If you missed my video earlier this week showcasing two rather pure builds of the Centurion archetype, be sure to check that out and read about the other cards in the archetype here.
Now that you’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s talk about the final card for the Centurion: Emblema of Oath (YGOrg Translation). This Quick-Play Spell Card may not be a Centurion card in name, but it offers your choice of two effects that help one of the most consistent themes be even more consistent. The first effect puts a Centurion into your S/T zone from your Deck, and as we discussed in my last profile, that’s yet 3 more copies to add to the stack of one-card starters. However, if you don’t need it as a pure combo starter, you can opt into Emblema’s second effect to set a Centurion S/T instead, giving you more consistent access to your two in-theme Trap Cards. I said this was the competitive theme after all, why not give the TCG the perfectly consistent deck it always dreams of…
Anyways, let’s talk about two more themes that join the fray today with this superpowered Centurion archetype! The first is the Horus, a set of Level 8 monsters debuting in AGOV that can Special Summon themselves from the GY while you control Pharaonic Sarcophagus (YGOrg Translation). While any deck using the Horus definitely gets to make use of all the free Level 8 monsters, this build in particular lets you access Coach King Giantrainer and Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy as normal, you can also leverage the Horus as the non-Tuner material to Synchro Summon Centurion Legatia (YGOrg Translation) with your Level 4 Tuners, if you combos go awry. Also, with the inclusion of Duamutef, Blessing of Horus (YGOrg Translation), you give your opponent a big choice in what to target with removal, because you could turn their removal into many free draws. The other engine at play today centers around not only Visas Starfrost, but also his alter-ego in Visas Samsara (YGOrg Translation). Samsara gets to be Special Summoned from the hand by recycling any number of Visas monsters that are banished or in your GY back to the Deck. It also serves as another Level 4 Tuner or non-Tuner, giving you flexibility in your combo chains. Finally, it can serve as Fusion Material for the faux-Fusion Summon of Vicious Astraloud, the Level 8 Visas-theme Fusion that happens to give you even more fodder for Xyz and Synchro Summons. Of course, the Visas engine brings other supporting Trap cards to the fray like Mannadium Reframing and Mannadium Breakheart, giving you that much more control tools. Bring on the consistency with the Centurion!
