Creative Deck Profile: Cyber Angel Draitron

Check out the upcoming Machine Ritual theme in action combined with the machine angels!

Strategic Summary:

The Draitron archetype, the name we are currently using for the upcoming LIGHT/Machine Ritual theme from Genesis Impactors, has a number of unique characteristics. First, using any of their effects lock you into only Special Summoning monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set for the rest of the turn. Secondly, this theme Ritual Summons using ATK values and not levels, much unlike any other Ritual theme currently in the game. For example, their Ritual Spell, Meteornis Draitron (YGOrg Translation) tributes Machines from your hand or field to summon a Ritual monster from your hand or GY with equal or less ATK than the tributed monster(s). Since all of the effect monsters from this theme can Special Summon themselves to the field by tributing another Draitron or Ritual monster from your hand or field, the entire premise of this strategy is to tribute Cyber Angel ritual monsters, such as Cyber Angel Benten, benefit from tributing them, then continuing your plays. Additionally, Cyber Angel Natasha serves as a serious threat to sweep away all of your opponent’s monsters out from their control, converting them into Link material of your own! If this wasn’t threatening enough, throw in Lava Golem and the theme’s sole Ritual monster revealed to date, and you have quite the recipe for domination!

Note: As many of these cards were recently revealed, most of the names used below are YGOrg translations of the OCG text. As these cards are also yet to be released even in the OCG or backed by official rulings, card interactions as they currently stand cannot be fully guaranteed. As always, I’ve provided links to the Yugipedia pages for all of the non-TCG cards in the decklist. Feel free to use those links to fully explore the Draitron theme!

Note: This is continuing the style of Creative Deck Profile articles, designed to showcase a build through replays rather than through a long article. If you wish to see a CDP for an archetype, theme, or strategy you love, feel free to private message me on the YGOrg Discord server, the comments section of any of my YouTube videos, or just post a comment in response to this article on our Facebook page with your ideas to keep under consideration! On most YGO-related communities my username is Quincymccoy, so feel free to reach out.

As of now, I have a couple of outstanding requests that I am looking into: Amazonness, Bujin, Cardian, Chaos, Witchcrafter, Superheavy Samurai, & The Agent.
