When you can’t defeat the Dragons anymore, join them.

Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features a hybrid of two archetypes with polar opposite gameplans. With the help of Buster Dragon, the Buster Blader theme aims to turn all your opponents’ monsters into Dragons, stopping them in their tracks before OTK’ing over their defense position monsters. On the other hand, the Tenpai Dragon archetype aims to OTK at all costs, blowing through any established board to attack directly until they have no LP left. Now isn’t it funny that the two can work together?
That’s exactly what today’s profile brings. The Buster Blader archetype easily accesses its optimal board off the activation of one Trap Card: Prologue of the Destruction Swordsman; therefore, running three copies of it, Trap Trick, and Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman offers enough consistency to make that a reality every duel. While Tenpai Dragons are known to be a very good OTK deck, they aren’t known as well for their going first boards, so the Buster Blader side really shores up that weakness. Now on the other side of the deck, we have the OTK machine in the Tenpai Dragons. Supported by Sangen support cards, Tenpai Dragon Paidra, Tenpai Dragon Chundra, and Tenpai Dragon Fadra each can blitz an opponent down by Synchro Summoning during the Battle Phase itself. There’s no stopping them outside of it, due to their Field Spell, Sangen Summoning, which protects FIRE Dragons from activated effects during your Main Phase 1. They also received two more support cards in INFO: Tenpai Dragon of Genroku (YGOrg Translation), which can be tributed to Special Summon any other Tenpai Dragon, and Sangen Kaihou (YGOrg Translation), a Trap card that can end your opponent’s Main Phase immediately, no questions asked! If you doubt their OTK-capabilities, I really wouldn’t: just look at the replay where they OTK the opponent, despite halving all damage taken with the effect of Pot of Prosperity! Join the Destruction Swordsman as he fights alongside Dragons to slay… evil-er Dragons!?

That deck is really solid, definitely one of your better CDPs.
Thank you! I’ve been making a deliberate effort to include rogue builds on the regular, even if the focus of my content is to showcase everything and anything!
i have recently been testing
Yubel Branded =
branded usually dies to Ash or monster hand traps, so with quick access to the new yubel fusion u counter Brandeds only weakness, before going into a jowgen lock. Best part about that is the yubel force themselves to be attacked so your saving jowgen from opposing attacks from Normal summoned Monsters.
Runick lightsworn = Other duelists have used this and managed to draw 3 cards by fountain all the time cuz all spells were milled by lightsworn.
Fiendsmith Magical Musket = They just work. Rlly well
I love the Yubel idea – I’ve tested them with many different things, but never with Branded. I’ll look into that. Runick Lightsworn is definitely a thing, but I’m more in the camp of Earthbound Runick in terms of synergy.
Finally, as far as your third suggestion, check back in a week, as that CDP goes live at the end of this week (posted next week), unless the schedule shifts with a last-minute addition I’ve been toying with.
Of course the only reason someone put Yubel with branded was because of jowgen
But yeh, the deck build is actually rlly good.
Ironically some people would be playing Destruction Sword AGAINST Tenpai dragon.
Don’t forget, you can also calamity lock them fairly easy with the second wave
