Strategic Summary:
Today’s CDP features the return of the Argostars archetype to my channel, a theme defined by its Continuous Traps that Special Summon themselves from the backrow as Monsters. Led by Argostars – Glorious Adra, which places two of these Continuous Traps into your backrow, this theme also happens to be quite great at disrupting the opponent due to its Field Spell, Argostars – Home Stadium. How? Well, each time a Continuous Trap activates its effect in a monster zone, Home Stadium can negate a face-up card the opponent controls. Combine that with negation from Apophis the Swamp Deity, and you have quite a few control elements at your disposal. Now one of the coolest support cards that the Argostars received was a R4NK Xyz Monster, Argostars – Adventurous Arion, which can be summoned using any 1 Argostars monster as material. This is the key bridge for the deck, as Arion summoned to the Extra Monster Zone can turn into Gravity Controller, giving you your LINK-1 to unleash the Yummys!
The Yummy archetype consists of Level 1 LIGHT Beasts that aim to combine Yummy★Snatchy and another Level 1 monster to Synchro Summon their Level 2 Yummy Synchros! Then, once the Level 2 Yummy Synchros are fielded, they can jump back into the Extra Deck and summon 2 Yummy monsters from the GY, if your opponent activates a card or effect. The Level 1 Yummys aren’t useless either – for example, Cupsy☆Yummy gets you access to your S/T support cards, and Marshmao☆Yummy recovers them. To put it plainly, this build combines all of the fun combos the Yummy have to offer, just beefed up with more disruption potential. What more could you want than that?
