Strategic Summary:
Welcome back for another CDP, this time centered on a different iteration on the new Ars Magna lore theme, making its debut in Beyond the Brave. And now that you're back, it's time to get into the business of answering a simple question: Why does this work?[Also side note, I've replaced the angle brackets in Maliss names with curly braces in this description, since they cause code to freak out. I'm well aware of the right symbols for the card names, thank you.]
You see, the Maliss archetype, the second theme in today's hybrid, is all about summoning Link monster after Link monster, rotating their Main Deck monsters in and out of the banishment, and ultimately leading to big Cyberse action. While they have many starters, ideally you start withMaliss {P} Dormouse, banishMaliss {P} White Rabbit
to then summon it, and have a field day from there. Where the Maliss shine is their ability to make a mountain out of one card, withCyberse Wicckidserving as a great bridge toBackup @Ignister, allowing you to search any DARK Cyberse monster in the game. Of course you can turn to degenerate options likeKnightmare Corruptor Iblee, or instead you can just leverage it to get even more Link material, such asTheorealize Medius (YGOrg Translation). Either way, the material quickly stacks up, giving you easy access to summonMedicurius the Power Patron of Illusions (YGOrg Translation), with plenty more monsters to point to to give him all of his effects.
Back to the Ars Magna side of this deck - this theme is just great at spamming the board with material. With each of their Main Deck options Special Summoning themselves from the banishment when you Link Summon, victory can truly be a heartbeat away. And sinceMedius the Purecan still lead into a full combo by summoningJupredo the Shademachine Power Patron- sinceArs Magna - "Citrinitas" (YGOrg Translation)is treated as a DoomZ card - all of these tools can be at your disposal to quickly take control of and ultimately win the duel on your terms... by OTK'ing with the power of a doubled-attackMaliss {Q} Hearts Crypter.
