Combining Crystals leads to the brightest Rainbows.

Strategic Summary:
Welcome back to another profile, this time centered on the Crystal Beast archetype. As covered before on my channel, the monsters in this theme ‘crystalize’ when destroyed on the field, turning into Continuous Spell cards, that then interact with the many Crystal support cards for your benefit. While Crystal Beacon, which summons a Crystal Beast from the deck, and Crystal Bond, which provides insane consistency, still exist, the theme has gotten a slew of powerful new support cards in the recently fully-revealed Structure Deck! I’ll start with Crystal Miracle (YGOrg Translation), a Counter Trap that gives you the ability to negate an activated Spell/Trap Card or monster effect by destroying any Crystal Beast card you control. You also have Crystal Grace (YGOrg Translation), which summons up to 2 Crystal Beast monsters from your S/T zone, and then lastly there is Crystal Protection (YGOrg Translation), which destroys a Crystal Beast to summon a Token. Each of these three support cards also has an effect to banish themselves from the GY whenever a Crystal Beast is crystalized to your backrow, providing even more utility than ever.
But the Crystal Beast theme has always been known for one thing above all else – consistency. Between Crystal Bond searching all monsters, Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon searching an Ultimate Crystal monster, and Rainbow Bridge tutoring any Crystal Spell/Trap, you would think it would have enough. But it’s time to think again, as Bridge of the Heart (YGOrg Translation) is a new Continuous Spell that not only tutors a Crystal Spell/Trap, but it also gives you an additional Normal Summon as well, plus the ability to spin an opponent’s card. The theme has also added Awakening of the Crystal Lord (YGOrg Translation), a Quickplay Spell that, when you have an Ultimate Crystal in hand, tutors a Bridge card on activation or summons a Crystal Beast monster from just about anywhere. If you happen to control an Ultimate Crystal monster, you get to perform both of these effects!
But with all this power came a mighty liability – in the past, all of the primary Crystal Beast monsters were pretty outdated and slow, outside of Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus and Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle. Unfortunately, that is still the case, but due to the latest Animation Chronicles set, we now have the Advanced Crystal Beasts as well, each of whom require the Field Spell Advanced Dark to remain on the field as a monster. Good thing Bridge of Salvation (YGOrg Translation) exists to tutor a Field Spell, but you can also turn to Advanced Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle (YGOrg Translation) for that. Either way, with more Crystal Beast names to choose from, you can more deliberately chart a path forward to your Rainbow Dragon boss, your Rainbow Overdragon secondary boss, or your new final boss monster, Rainbow Dragon Overdrive (YGOrg Translation), which shuffles all cards on the field back into the deck before banishing any number of banished Crystal Beast monsters. This is essentially a game-ending finisher, even before you factor in its 11,000 ATK. Serve as a prism for the rainbows with all this new support, melded into one deck to be at least one carat above the rest!
