Shadoll Special Feature: These Puppet Monsters Fuse! They Show Their Strength Against Decks Focused on Special Summons!
A new Series, the “Shadolls”, are included in “The Duelist Advent” (DUEA), out April 19th!
The Shadolls are (puppet-like) monsters that use Flip Effects, and fight by Fusion Summoning! If you use the powerful “Shadoll Fusion” to Fusion Summon, you can potentially use its effect to Fusion Summon using Fusion Material Monsters in your Main Deck, if everything’s keen and peachy!
Also, the cards we’re introducing today include even Tuners and a Trap Card you can use as a Fusion Material Monster. Besides just bringing out Fusion Monsters, you can play in various other ways, so this is a very interesting sort of Deck.
Let’s Introduce the Cards of This Series
First, let’s introduce you to their cards that are directly related to Fusion Monsters and Fusion Summoning!
Elshadoll Nephilim
(LIGHT Fairy-Type ATK 2800/DEF 2500)
You can Fusion Summon them with a “Shadoll” monster and a LIGHT monster! If this card is Special Summoned, you can activate this card’s effect, that lets it send a “Shadoll” card from your Deck to the Graveyard! Also, if this card battles a Special Summoned monster, at the start of the Damage Step, it can activate its effect that lets it destroy Special Summoned monsters! And, if this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can use its effect to add a “Shadoll” Spell or Trap Card in your Graveyard to your hand, which’ll let you set up for your next move!
Elshadoll Midrash
(DARK Spellcaster-Type ATK 2200 ATK/800 DEF)
You can Fusion Summon them with a “Shadoll” monster and a DARK monster! If this card is in a Monster Zone, it has a powerful ability that prevents each player from Special Summoning more than once per turn! Also, this card can’t be destroyed by your opponent’s card effects, it helps block opponent decks that require a ton of Special Summons to make progress in a Duel! And, if this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can use its effect to add a “Shadoll” Spell or Trap Card in your Graveyard to your hand, which’ll let you set up for your next move!
Shadoll Fusion
(Normal Spell Card)
A Spell Card that lets you send Fusion Material Monsters from your hand and/or side of the field listed on a “Shadoll” Fusion Monster in order to Fusion Summon that Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. However, if your opponent controls a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, this card has the potent ability to let you Fusion Summon using Fusion Material Monsters in your Main Deck! However, you can only activate 1 “Shadoll Fusion” per turn, but its combo potential with cards that can add it back to the hand is incredibly powerful!
Next, Let’s Introduce Cards With Powerful Effect That Can Be Used As Fusion Material!
Shadoll Falcon
(Flip Tuner DARK Spellcaster-Type ATK 600/DEF 1400)
If this card is flipped face-up, you can Special Summon 1 “Shadoll” monster from your Graveyard, except “Shadoll Falcon”, in face-down Defense Position! Also, if this card is sent tot the Graveyard by a card effect, it can Special Summon itself from the Graveyard in face-down Defense Position! However, you can only use 1 of “Shadoll Falcon’s” effects per turn, and only once that turn. Use the effect best suited to your needs based on the situation! Also, another charming feature is that it’s a Tuner, so you can include Synchro Summon tactics in this Deck!
Shadoll Hedgehog
(Flip DARK Spellcaster-Type ATK 800/DEF 200)
If this card is flipped face-up, you can add a “Shadoll” Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. And if it’s sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, you can add 1 “Shadoll” monster from your Deck to your hand, except “Shadoll Hedgehog”! Depending on the situation, add the card you need most, whether it be “Shadoll Fusion” or a “Shadoll” monster! But remember, you can only use one of “Shadoll Hedgehog’s” effects per turn, and only once that turn!
Shadoll Roots
(Continuous Trap Card)
It Special Summons itself as an Effect Monster (Spellcaster-Type/DARK/Level 9/ATK 1450/DEF 1950) (but it’s still a Trap)! Since it can substitute for the Attribute based Fusion Material Monster listed on a “Shadoll” Fusion Monster’s card, you can increase the variety of monsters you’ll Fusion Summon! Also, if this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, you can add 1 “Shadoll” Spell or Trap Card (other than “Shadoll Roots”) from your Graveyard to your hand, letting you set up for your next move!
Before it’s too late, think about good cards and combos that work with these cards!
Since you can Synchro Summon on top of Fusion Summoning, you can theoretically increase your chances of being able to respond to your opponent’s tactics! Also, depending on your monster Line Up, you can potentially Xyz Summon, so there’s a various ways you can go with this Deck as far as Deck Construction goes! Finally, “The Duelist Advent” (DEUA) includes other “Shadoll” that weren’t introduced in this article.
