“Ryuusei” Special Feature: When they’re destroyed, they call out for their Allies, and they can Synchro Summon during the opponent’s turn!
Introducing the “Ryuusei” Series!
“The Duelist Advent” (DUEA), which comes out April 19th, includes the new Series “Ryuusei”! These monsters generally share the ability to call out their allies when they’re destroyed, along with the ability to fight by using their effects to Synchro Summon during the opponent’s turn.!
First off though, let’s check out their Synchro Monster’s killer effect!
Kiryuusei – Shoufuku
(Level 8 LIGHT Genryuu-Type ATK 2300/DEF 2600)
Synchro Summon it using a Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner Genryuu-Type monsters! When it’s Sycnhro Summoned, its ability returns cards on the field to the Deck, equal to the number of Genryuu-Type Synchro Material Monsters! And it also has an ability that lets you destroy a card your control and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Graveyard, and you can use this effect to destroy a troublesome card your opponent has handed you would letting you set up for a combo attack
Introducing The Series’ Monsters!
The “Ryuusei” that appear in “The Duelist Advent” are a Series all centered around the brand new Type: “Genryu”!
One of their key traits is tactics that let them try and Synchro Summon during your opponent’s turn, and then use “Kiryuusei – Shoufuku” and its effects to trip up your opponent’s game plan! And their monsters typically carry the effect to call their allies from the Deck when they’re destroyed.
Enryuusei – Shungei
(Level 4 FIRE ATK 1900/DEF 0)
When this card you control is destroyed by battle or a card effect, you can Special Summon a “Ryuusei” other than “Enryuusei Shungei”! And during your opponent’s Main Phase or Battle Phase, you can Sycnrho Summon a monster, but only if the other Materials are Ryuusei monsters! And if this card is used as as a Synchro Material Monster, that Synchro Monster gains 500 ATK and DEF! And it can even serve as a 1900 ATK beater!
Chiryuusei – Heikan
(Level 3 EARTH ATK 1600/DEF 0)
When this card you control is destroyed by battle or a card effect, you can Special Summon a “Ryuusei” other than “Chiryuusei Heikan”! And during your opponent’s Main Phase or Battle Phase, you can Sycnrho Summon a monster, but only if the other Materials are Ryuusei monsters! And if this card is used as as a Synchro Material Monster, that Synchro Monster cannot be destroyed by battle! It’s best to use this effect with powerful monsters like “Stardust Dragon”!
Kouryuusei – Rifun
(Tuner Level 1 LIGHT ATK 0/DEF 0)
A Level 1 Tuner! When this card you control is destroyed by battle or a card effect, you can Special Summon a “Ryuusei” other than “Kouryuusei Rifun”! Also, when a “Ryuusei” monster you control is destroyed by battle or a card effect, it has a handy effect that lets you Special Summon this card from your Graveyard (Buit be aware if it’s Special Summoned this way, it’s banished if it leaves the field)! But be aware you can only use these effects once per turn, so plan ahead about your Synchro Summons!
A Powerful Support Card Appears
Ryuusei no Kiseki
(Normal Spell Card)
Shuffle 3 “Ryuusei” monsters in your Graveyard back into your Deck, and then after that, draw 2 cards! These monsters end up in the Graveyard quickly due to the Ryuusei’s ability to Special Summon other Ryuusei from the Deck, it’s not hard to fulfill this card’s activation condition! It’s key point is putting the “Ryuusei” that have accumlated in your Graveyard, but being able to draw 2 cards is also incredibly powerful! Keep in mind that this card can only be activated once per turn, so use it wisely so you can keep the Ryuusei’s self-replacement combo going!
Now think about complimentary cards and combos!
Since the Deck focuses on Synchro Summoning monsters of different levels, it’ll be fun to build your Deck’s Extra Deck!
So think up of some good Extra Deck Monsters to add!
