So this is the fabled set power deck. 1300 DEF. At least that lets them access Globule down the line.
Where mist konami?
Aww i was hoping they introduced flip
These are ment for rush duelling right, because dark matter seams more appropriate for the Tc and ocg’s respectively. I’m definitely going to get my hands on these.
Well, it’s not the first time Rush Duels experiments within its own limits. At the same time, the Dark Matter Duelist in the Anime, Sabyuas, looks like he will be a recurring character.
And well…. Dark Matter needed something unique to be able to differentiate itself and not be a cheap copy of Voidvelgr.
Honestly, it’s pretty bizarre to have a Fusion Material that doesn’t exist (Dark Matter Mist), but other Monsters can acquire that name.
In the current format, DARK Galaxy (generally) wants something like Dark Matter Jelly and Dark Matter Storm. Well, having face-down monsters is now a playstyle for Rush Duels.
And there is still Dark Matter support from the Anime.
Does anyone else think dark matter is going to be a squad/army style archetype, 4 or more antagonists having the same deck but different play styles, for all we know the final boss could have dark matter mist could be a Ultimate boss monster that they are saving for the end?
Sabuyas is a member of the Dark Matter empire, so I do believe most if not all the antagonists will use this theme but in different ways.
Some of the monsters in here feel like they don’t fit Sabuyas, who has a European chivalry theme. I can see the female antagonist using Hurreya or Deadcheer for instance, or Bleu Air using Jelly.
Some Dark Matters can be added to Dark Galaxy’s existing deck builds and perform relatively well there. Albeit niche, Lockdoll is technically a Mystic Dealer clone. Jelly is vital as a Trap Stun. Craydoll is another Fusion recover. Hazardoll is a miller and recovers Lockdoll and Craydoll. Deadyell and String extend your combos.
The Fusions are meh and can be exploited due to having Continuous Effects, and consequently Force is bad. Storm is really good.
I hope some of Sabuyas’s remaining backrow is revealed over the coming weeks. And in the future he gets better Fusions.
Iliaster, 4 characters named Jakob, Lester, Primo, and Aporia in yugioh 5ds have the same architecture called meklord but do rely on different play styles, but Jakob, Lester, and Primo combine into Aporia, so if you’re right about ever antagonist in the dark matter empire having dark matter monsters, who’s to say that they can’t combine into someone else, who’s way tuffer and more dangerous?
Apparently, every member of the Darkmen (the group) will use Dark Matter, but with a different way of playing it (but keeping the basics)
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some kind of powerful Fusion Monster that brings together all the aspects of Dark Matter (it would be a good opportunity to have the first Fusion Maximum Monster)
Of course, that super powerful Boss Monster would be used by Darkmen’s Leader.
In terms of artwork at least, Rush duel archetypes destroy ocg/tcg archetypes.
These monsters look uninspired please start using more diverse cultural inspirations Konami, give us more interesting things.
no quit crying about that they can do whatever they want don’t like it don’t play it
We got a jellyfish, Norse angelic cheerleaders, and European nobility inspired dolls in this set alone. What do you mean, more diverse?
