Wait a minute the tcg fusions stop being phantom beasts while on field/gy even though the ritual summoned skull, etc. avoided this problem ???
It’s likely an attempt to save on text which causes printing to be more expensive. They should probably still be phantom beast cards: my interpretation is that “this is still an archfiend card” on the summoned skull stuff was moreso reminder text and not strictly necessary, because the original had an archetype clause.
