BRAVE MONSTERS AND MAGNIFICENT CARDS JOIN THE Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!
LOS ANGELES – (October 15, 2026) – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) is releasing two new products in October and November, which will bring brave new monsters and magnificent-looking cards into the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG). Both will be chased by competitive-minded players and dedicated collectors alike.
Earlier in October, a new Booster Pack arrived in stores. Beyond The Brave is the newest core Booster Pack, and it features reimagined versions of cards used by Joey Wheeler in the original animated Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Joey got lucky to win some of his Duels, and Time Wizard was often at the heart of his luck-based efforts to win. Now, Beyond The Brave introduces a suite of cards that revolve around the Dark Time Wizard Quick-Play Spell Card, and each of them is a throwback to an iconic monster used by Joey Wheeler in the animated series.
Dark Time Wizard has two effects. The first effect lets you add a card from your Deck to your hand that mentions Dark Time Wizard. This allows you to quickly get any card in the theme, including Alligator’s Dragon Knight, Jinzo - Energy Shocker, Fisherman of Legend, or Sleepy Scapegoats. Then, Dark Time Wizard winds back time to return itself to your hand in the End Phase.
Dark Time Wizard’s second effect lets you rely on luck, just like Joey Wheeler did during his Duels! The second effect lets you flip a coin. If you win the flip, you destroy all monsters on your opponent’s field and inflict damage to your opponent’s Life Points equal to half of those monsters’ combined original Attack Points! If you lose the coin flip, you destroy all of your own monsters instead!
Joey’s light-hearted monsters aren’t the only cards in Beyond The Brave that are reimagined from cards used by characters in the animated series. The “Destiny HERO” monsters used by Aster Phoenix in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX have always been popular with fans, and Beyond The Brave introduces new “Destiny HERO” monsters for Duelists to collect. Destiny HERO - Doom Overlord, Destiny HERO - Destro-Dogma, and Destiny HERO - Dreadnought Master are reimagined versions of Aster Phoenix’s classic monsters, premiering in Beyond the Brave.
There’s some more support for old themes in Beyond The Brave too. New “Atlantis” and “Daedalus” cards will slot into “Umi” Decks, which have existed since the dawn of Dueling. Lots of these new cards have their names change into “Umi” while they’re on the field, enabling powerful effects of other cards that require you to have “Umi” in order to use them.
Atlantis, City of the Sea Dragon is a Field Spell Card that is at the core of this new theme. It reduces all monster Levels in both players’ hands and on the field by 1, making it tougher for opponents to Summon specific monsters from the Extra Deck, while making it easier for you to Normal Summon high-Level monsters from your hand. It also lets you Link Summon two new Link Monsters – Azure Ocean Dragon Lord – Neo-Daedalus Rage and Levia-Dragoon - Daedalus – for 1 less Link Material than normal. Plus, Atlantis can return itself from your Graveyard to your field if you control “Umi”, even though its name doesn’t become “Umi” on the field.
Azure Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus Rage counts as “Umi” on the field and can Special Summon up to 3 monsters from your Graveyard that mention Atlantis, plus has an effect that lets you send an “Umi” to the Graveyard to send all cards on the field to the Graveyard that aren’t “Umi”. Levia-Dragoon - Daedalus becomes “Umi” on the field and Special Summons a monster from your Deck that mentions Atlantis. It also has an effect that lets you send an “Umi” to the Graveyard to make your opponent redraw his or her hand. There are a bunch of other monsters in Beyond The Brave that mention Atlantis and become “Umi” while they’re face-up on the field too, rounding out this powerful WATER theme.
The new “Ashtra” theme is also premiering in Beyond The Brave! You can Summon “Ashtra” monsters by showing your opponent one of your face-down cards and returning it to your hand (or Extra Deck). The “Ashtra” monsters have a variety of effects that synergize with Traps, and there are “Ashtra” Trap Cards with a variety of effects that are useful to the theme. The “Ashtra” Trap Cards also can help Synchro Summon the theme’s most threatening monsters: Ashtraja Susanoo and Ashtraya Mikumari-no-Mikoto.
Beyond The Brave also includes some other cards that help to enhance old strategies. These include Clown Crew Cappello (which can be used to boost the “Clown Crew” Deck that premiered in Blazing Dominion) and Predaplant Daredevil (which works well with recently released “Predaplant” support).
Beyond The Brave contains 100 cards in total. It includes 10 Secret Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, 26 Super Rares, and 50 Commons. Five cards in the set are available as extended art Ultra Rares and Starlight Rares, and 20 other cards in the set are available as Starlight Rares.
Beyond The Brave launched in stores on October 9, 2026. MSRP is $4.49 per pack.
Beyond The Brave
In November, Magnificent Maestros – a special product that is the successor to Magnificent Monsters – hits stores. Magnificent Monsters introduced Grand Master Rares with dazzling foiling and hieroglyphic borders into the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, and Magnificent Maestros delivers them once more. Like the Grand Master Rares that were available in Magnificent Monsters, each of the 18 cards available as Grand Master Rares in Magnificent Maestros is a serial-numbered card. Only 100 of each Grand Master Rare are available in products distributed in the Americas, and another 100 of each Grand Master Rare are available in all other TCG territories distributed by Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. Each of those cards have unique numbering (with European copies featuring the letter “E” at the end of the serial number), so no two Grand Master Rares are identical! All Grand Master Rares found in the Americas and Europe are in English, but can be found in packs containing cards of other languages. Grand Master Rare cards are extremely tough to find!
Magnificent Monsters contained 18 cards that were reimagined from the protagonists’ most iconic monsters, all of which were available as Grand Master Rares. Magnificent Maestros, on the other hand, introduces 18 cards reimagined from cards used by Duelists of more questionable character. These 18 cards are mostly inspired by cards used by anti-heroes and villains. Each one of those cards is available as a Grand Master Rare, but also obtainable in easier-to-find rarities. There are 3 new cards inspired by each series, from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series through Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. These cards include Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the White Phantom Beast; Cyber End Dragon, the Final Strike Dragon; Red Dragon Archfiend’s Chains; Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon - Photon Howling; Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, Four Heavenly Dragons; and Borreload Liberator Dragon. Each of these cards is available as a regular Ultra Rare. Duelists looking for a higher rarity of these cards that is somewhere between the Ultra Rare version and Grand Master Rare version can acquire these cards with extended art. The extended art versions are available as both Ultra Rares and Starlight Rares.
While Grand Master Rares and reimagined anime cards are some of the most exciting features of Magnificent Maestros, there’s also a lot more in the set that Duelists want to get their hands on. Magnificent Maestros contains 21 new cards for “Toon,” “Witchcrafter,” and “Unchained” Decks, making each of those three themes stronger than ever before! There are also 10 additional new cards based on cards seen in the anime, including the first “Dark Tuner” monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s and Chaos End Ruler - Master of the Beginning and End from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL. Like Magnificent Monsters, Magnificent Maestros also contains 10 variant art cards featuring chibi-style artwork, depicting cute versions of popular cards like Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle, Fallen of Albaz, and Super Starslayer TY-PHON - Sky Crisis.
Magnificent Maestros takes extended art versions of cards one step further than its magnificent predecessor. While Magnificent Monsters contained extended art versions of only the 18 cards reimagined from the anime, Magnificent Maestros contains 6 additional extended art cards. These 6 cards are extended art versions of popular cards in the “Toon,” “Witchcrafter,” and “Unchained” themes. They include Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon, Witchcrafter Vice-Madame, and Unchained Soul Lord of Yama. Each of the 6 extended art cards in the “Toon,” “Witchcrafter,” and “Unchained” themes are available in Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare versions.
Magnificent Maestros also contains foil upgrades for 40 cards that were never before available in a foil rarity. These include old favorites like Neo the Magic Swordsman, Berserk Gorilla, and Magical Scientist, as well as more recent favorites like Fairy Tail Ball, Angelechy Problem, and Fallen Paradise of the Sacred Beasts. Plus, you’ll find lots of reprints of sought-after cards – especially for “Toon” Decks – including Toon Bookmark, Toon Black Luster Soldier, Toon Dark Magician, Red-Eyes Toon Dragon, and Toon Table of Contents. Magnificent Maestros will make “Toon” Decks more competitive than ever before, and these reprints will make it easier for Duelists to get their hands on older “Toon” cards so that they can compete using a “Toon” Deck at the highest competitive levels.
Each box of Magnificent Maestros includes three packs, and each of those packs contains 5 cards. Each of the 5 cards is typically a normal Ultra Rare, but there’s a chance that one of those cards will be upgraded to an extended art card that is Ultra Rare or Starlight Rare instead. The 5 cards in a pack all come from different pools of cards that are available in the set, so players will always get a nice variety of cards in each pack. Each Magnificent Maestros box also contains 3 additional bonus cards. Each bonus card is generally a Secret Rare that has a chance of being upgraded to a Starlight Rare. One of these bonus cards can instead be one of the 6 extended art “Toon,” “Witchcrafter,” or “Unchained” cards available in Magnificent Maestros, either as an Ultra Rare or Starlight Rare.
There are 125 cards in total in Magnificent Maestros, and MSRP is $34.99 per box. This magnificent product launches in stores on November 13, 2026.
