This Monster received two significant Nerfs.
– You can no longer Set this Monster.
– It no longer destroys all cards on the Field.
In theory, Beast King Barbaros’ original Effect could have been retained, but that seems to be exclusive to Fusion Monsters in Rush Duels (like Princess Cosmos), which require prior setup.
You forgot the biggest nerf – you can only use this effect with EARTH Tributes, preventing it from being splashed in any Deck.
Destroying all cards on your opponent’s field is still too powerful in Rush. Even its direct equivalent in Gilford the Lightning can only destroy monsters, so having a stronger version of this would be a bit too much.
You can still Set it, you just tribute 2 monsters.
I’m wondering if they will make that Beast Machine King into a Fusion monster like in the manga
