“Burning Abyss” Special Feature: Miraculously Being Deployed One After Another… … And Powerfully Combo with their Effects that activate in the Graveyard!
The “Burning Abyss” series that first appeared overseas is finally coming to Japan!! And they come together in “Extra Pack 2015” which goes on sale September 19th, 2015! They have a terrifying ability to be brought out one after another, allowing you to set up for incredibly powerful combos… … We’ll check out the strengths of the “Burning Abyss” Deck which has proven itself with incredible tournament results in the United States of America!
While using the abilities of the “Malebranche of the Burning Abyss” to set up a combo, you can fight by Xyz and Synchro Summoning as well!

Introducing the Level 3 “Malebranche of the Burning Abyss”!
Among the “Burning Abyss” monsters, the “Malebranche of the Burning Abyss” are all Level 3 DARK Fiend-Type monsters! All of these monsters have the same two effects, while being blessed with a third strong powerful effect (or feature)!
All of the “Malebranche of the Burning Abyss” possesses the following two Effects
(1) Effect
If you control no Spell/Trap Cards: You can Special Summon this card from your hand.
[⇒ Monsters with the same name can only use their 1st and 3rd effects once per turn, and you can only use one of them per turn, so keep that in mind!]
(2) Effect
If you control a monster that is not a “Burning Abyss” monster, destroy this card.
[⇒ Even if it’s destroyed by this effect, you can use this to your advantage in a combo to activate the 3rd effects mentioned below!]

Introducing the Xyz and Synchro Monsters for “Burning Abyss”!
The Xyz Monster “Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss” has an effect to raise its own ATK which combos incredibly by triggering the effects of the “Malebranche of the Burning Abyss”! Also, the Synchro Monster “Virgil, Rock Star of the Burning Abyss” has an incredibly powerful effect that can return 1 of your opponent’s cards on the field or in the Graveyard back to the Deck! Since both monsters have three effects in total, let’s check them out here!
Dante, Traveller of the Burning Abyss

(1) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and choose a number from 1 to 3, then send that many cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard; until the end of this turn, this card gains 500 ATK for each card sent to the Graveyard this way.
(2) If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase.
(3) If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 “Burning Abyss” card in your Graveyard, except this card; add it to your hand.
Virgil, Rock Star of the Burning Abyss

You can only use the (3) effect of “Virgil, Rock Star of the Burning Abyss” once per turn.

(2) Once per turn: You can discard 1 “Burning Abyss” card, then target 1 card your opponent controls or in their Graveyard; shuffle it into the Deck.
(3) If this card on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can draw 1 card.

The 2015 Extra Pack consisting of cards previous released overseas has appeared! This pack comes with 79 cards from a wide variety of series! The “Burning Abyss” series which is based on a certain story about journeying to Hell, the athletes from the near future of the “U.A. (Ultra Athlete)” series, the indescribly terrifying “Old Entities” are also included, along with the 2 Prize Cards from the 2014 World Championship Series that come incredibly shiny filing! There’s also support that strengthens a wide variety of Decks included!
