There may be a retrain in the last 4 cards

      • Cal on July 7, 2025 2:58 am

Check the numbers. Anchorbolt Hedgehog is JP002 and Synchro Fellows is JP005. We’re definitely getting a retrain of Sonic Chick, so the last is probably a retrain of Junk Synchron or Sonic Warrior

      • kuroisepu on July 7, 2025 3:15 am

sonic chick and sonic warrior have a higher chance to be retrained, that leaves junk synchron not getting retrainted.

      • Kadron on July 7, 2025 3:17 am

Sonic Warrior is not iconic enough to deserve a reprint

      • kuroisepu on July 7, 2025 3:18 am

I guess even if they don’t retrain junk synchron, there is still a chance for VJUMP or the main set after the structure deck.

      • kuroisepu on July 7, 2025 3:19 am

to Kadron: we are talking about retrain(a new version of an old card), not reprint

ScionStorm … the Nitro is part of the “Warrior” and “Synchron” Archetype … BUT its a shame they dont reprint the two in the Deck o.o

      • DrakeyC on July 7, 2025 10:36 pm

@Umbra they meant that Nitro Synchron has the oddity of its effect triggering when used for the Synchro Summon of a “Nitro” Synchro Monster, but ofc there’s only one such monster.

Basically point is to compile a field of weak monsters to make bigger ones, it’s the reason it’s one of the few decks able to get away with a mass summon effect like Junk Speeder because everything is inherently weak by nature

      • John Stellarum on July 7, 2025 4:44 am

Yusei’s main strategy was to use weak monsters to summon powerful Synchro Monsters. It reflected his beliefs about how humanity grows and evolves.

      • HFIL on July 7, 2025 2:43 pm

Okay, but how good are they for the deck is?

      • theroonco on July 7, 2025 2:21 am

This’ll make for a fun casual deck, I hope. It’s cool seeing Yusei’s og cards retrained to fit in a single theme. I guess we’ll get a new Mach Warrior and Sonic Chick too, since that last card is referencing 5D’s’ last turn?

      • Lifedeather on July 7, 2025 11:44 pm

Why does everything have to compete against meta…

    6. kuroisepu on July 7, 2025 1:47 am

for the rest of this turn, also you can only Special Summon once more for the rest of this turn.
this line above kills the entire card, this is as bad as Red-Eyes Fusion.
at least make it you can only synchro summon for the rest of this turn.

      Reply
      • kuroisepu on July 7, 2025 1:49 am

I made a mistake here, what I want to say is that the restriction should states: you cannot special summon from the extra deck except synchro monsters so you can still special summon from non-extra deck.

      • Rue on July 7, 2025 5:31 am

If it did that then it would be a crazy combo card instead of an OTK boss monster like it’s supposed to be.

      • The one on July 7, 2025 6:49 am

Not as bad as red-eyes fusion, very far from it, since red-eyes fusion locks you both before and after activation. This one is only after, and you can summon once after swarming (red-eyes fusion zero), unlimited times before activation

    7. Kevin Tewart on July 7, 2025 1:50 am

      >also you can only Special Summon once more for the rest of this turn.
Bruh holy garbage, even Junk Speeder who’s miles more essential doesn’t have a lock this harsh.

^…which is completely dogwater by today’s standards

    8. Fumetsusozo on July 7, 2025 1:54 am

I always been a fan of Junk Warrior’s design, so I am happy to see a new beefier version of it… But that summon limit lock it has is a pretty awful downside unless I am missing something somehow.

It’s meant to set up a tag into the OG Junk Warrior and boost him massively mid Battle Phase.
Junk is now Tenpai but Gachiakuta.

      • kuroisepu on July 7, 2025 3:03 am

so it’s either you kill your opponent with OG junk warrior or your opponent stops it, and then your turn ends, that’s kinda risky, it’s a cool idea to smash your opponent’s with Junk Warrior’s fist, but I still don’t like the restriction.

      • kuroisepu on July 7, 2025 3:09 am

at least it should be able to add scrap fist automatically, so you are pretty much guarantee to kill your opponent.

      • Fumetsusozo on July 7, 2025 10:22 am

Ehh… While it is a pretty cool idea to turn the original Junk Warrior into a surprise OTK Boss, but with the types of level 2 monsters this deck expects you to run… you are looking at best 4 monsters with roughly 900 ATK each overall. That result would make Junk Warrior’s ATK hit for around 5900, which is pretty far from being a good OTK move, especially as it assumes your opponent magically doesn’t have any interruptions.

      • Kuroisenpu on July 7, 2025 12:19 pm

To Fumetsusozo: read the effect of full speed warrior, the 900 attack gain is a continuous effect, so Junk Warrior Extreme will not negate it, so it means all your monsters gain 900 attack, junk warrior will be 6700 attack with 2300+900=3,200 from full speed warrior, anchorbolt hedgehog will be 800+900=1,700, full speed warrior itself will be 900+900=1,800, add 3200+1700+1800=6,700 just from these 2 level 2 monsters.

      • Fumetsusozo on July 7, 2025 8:30 pm

        @Kuroisenpu.
I did read it, but I wasn’t sure if it was considered an activated effect or something else. I never been great at easily understanding the difference between those kinda effects, because to me the fact it only works during the battle phase makes it feel like it should activate exactly at that point, but I did know there was a chance that wasn’t the case.

Zexal is now the only series to not have a structure deck based on a rival character.

Dark Magician had a structure deck back in 2006. Spellcaster’s Judgement. The deck’s ace, Dark Eradicator Warlock can only be summoned by tributing a Dark Magician.

Most of the cards are just okay but that spell is a crazy searcher. This deck historically always struggled if it didn’t open the correct pieces to start the combos. The spell adds some much needed consistency. Doesn’t necessarily change the power level of the deck but it definitely helps.

The fact that Synchro Fellows allows us to add a monster that mentions “Stardust Dragon” may indicate that the remaining 4 cards might build upon the Stardust themed cards we saw in ‘Dawn of Majesty’ which is plausible given this is a structure deck that specifically focuses on Yusei’s cards (as opposed to 5Ds cards like Crimson Dragon, Shooting Quasar Dragon, etc).

Mostly because the structure deck is heavily referencing the final duel of the series with Jack Atlas which had shooting star dragon and junk warrior as Yusei’s MVP’s

Shooting Star Dragon, but Junk Warrior colored.

It’s because they included Accel synchro stardust dragon, its artwork and effects make you to go for shooting star dragon, so they have to include it as well.

Complete and utter garbage cards. Was hoping that Konami would actually give some new and fresh supports so Synchro decks could keep with the meta. What we got are very highly restrictive cards.

Sad that iconic characters, that people have interest in, will often get really bad cards but brand new archetypes, that were never shown in the anime, and people have no emotional connection with, will often get the most broken generic card.

There are so many things at odds with each other with these cards and the structure deck

First of all Junk Warrior Extremes effects are self inhibitory outside of exactly 1 speciffic game plan (summoning itself, summon the small ones, and after combat getting the normal junk warrior)

Second of all, wouldnt you expect all of the lower level monsters have passive supporting effects because of this? So why doesnt the new hedgehog?

And finally, the new Junk warrior is clearly intended to be made by making Junk warrior, and then using a second junk sychron on them…
But if that is the case, why is there only 1 Junk warrior in the structure deck, and not the required second one (since you cant summon it back with Extremes effect from the GY)?
