The design of the cards is meant to emulate a Crane Game. The 100 LP is a 100 Yen Coin. The Synchros emulate the Crane Game. Them dissipating into parts is the Crane Game failing.

This is the closest we’ll ever get to a unleveled monster being a Tuner. I kind of wish they made the Link a real Tuner and put the Level treatment condition on it instead of on the Synchros, for the novelty of it.

      • Zesty on February 11, 2025 11:18 pm

well now you can use something like cyberse gadget to make link disciple and devotee, draw a card make 2 level 1 tokens then go into a yummy synchro and search 2 yummys. disciples lock doesn’t matter because snatcher has the same restriction. these cards are soooooo good.

      • Kenshiro on February 11, 2025 11:27 pm

Link-1 is treated as tuner? Sky Striker Yummy???

      • Aera64 on February 12, 2025 1:15 am

You also have Cyberse Gadget, Firewall Guardian, and Dotscraper to go into link disciple and devotee to synergies with Yummy what you do after that, no idea.

      • TheTrueThomaster on February 12, 2025 1:22 am

As funny as it would’ve been, the practical reason for why they didn’t do that is because of effect negations. Letting the synchros specify that Links can be treated as Level 1 tuners rather than having the Links be tuners that are treated as level 1 monsters means that if a card like skill drain is up on the field there’s no ruling confusion over level 0 tuners.

That link 1 is guaranteed to be the first one banned. Mark my words

      • WildKamuran on February 12, 2025 12:15 am

unless they print less “busted” link1s in this theme’s future supports, it ain’t going anywhere. There’s only a handful of link 1s that aren’t gonna substitute for what’s essentially the core monster of the theme.

      • Cunnysseur420 on February 12, 2025 12:26 am

The entire deck revolves around it, so I doubt it.

      • DragonRising on February 12, 2025 1:19 am

Dotacaper is gonna be broken in that deck as well as Ojama.

Ojama yummy sounds soo wrong lol.

      • YGO Enjoyer on February 14, 2025 1:40 am

Unlikely. None of the Yummy monsters are tuners, and only the synchro monsters themselves allow the link-1 to be treated as a tuner, as opposed to the link-1 itself treating itself as a tuner. What, are you expecting Formula Synchron to be banned next?

    4. N on February 11, 2025 11:22 pm

That Link-1 is absolutely busted. It’s just a massive Synchro climbing tool on quick effect. And Konami saved the waifu archetype for next month.

We haven’t seen the card whose art is on the pack cover. It has to be 025, the one still unrevealed. It’s between a spell and a trap, so it’s either of those two.

      • Hoshinova on February 12, 2025 12:01 am

Wait, nevermind, upon closer inspection, the pack cover simply put the main 4 Yummy monsters (the link + the 3 maindecks) all at once lol

    15. Weight wight Pappylarion on February 12, 2025 12:28 am

      These cards are so Yummy!

    16. Namesky on February 12, 2025 12:37 am

This is… damn good? Reminds me bit of Sprights with how it lets tou treat links as materials for other summons. There’s also a lot of recovery, disruption and general shenanigans going on. The only weakness I see are low stats of monsters so obviously it will need out of theme bosses to actually win.

      • DuckSguised on February 12, 2025 1:07 am

No worries! Just use mimighoul. Why otk when you have near infinite revovery?

1 card dragon combo (no Maker rng involved) ends on 2 of the yummy synchros, Mimighoul Dungeon and Mimighoul Room set and the Yummy Link 1. Seems bad at first glance, but that is basically “You can’t normal summon +5 interactions, have fun”

      • Judgejigglypuff on February 12, 2025 1:14 am

In my build all Yummy monsters are one card FTK

      • summer on February 12, 2025 1:17 am

DB replay of the dragon combo?

      • CMClueless on February 12, 2025 6:54 am

        I presume it’s like this.

Dragon NS, eff to get maker -> Maker for any Mimighoul, doesn’t matter -> Dragon into Relinquished Anima -> Anima + the mimighoul synchro into Cupsie Yummy Way, eff to discard 1 get Cupsie and Cooky/Lollipo -> SS Cupsie to add Redemption -> Link into Snatchy, eff to put up Minion -> Minion to res Cupsie -> SS Lollipo. You now have 2x 1s to make Giant Mimighoul, which I think gets you Dungeon, Dungeon gets you a mimighoul and your opponent still has one set. This is disregarding the results of Mimighoul Maker too, so you could be up on material there too.

Anyway, my route ends you on Cupsie Yummy Way, Snatchy, Redemption, Minion, Lollipo and Cupsie on field before you go back into the Mimighoul side of things. Pretty good stuff.

    18. ... on February 12, 2025 12:40 am

Direct support for blue zoodiacs is a more vile scam than any crane game.

    19. Nikki on February 12, 2025 12:43 am

You can potentially get every synchro onto the field with any 1 Yummy monster:
ns a Yummy, link into Snatchy, Snatchy put Minion face up, activate Minion to ss the Yummy from gy, synchro summon Cupsie, Cupsie eff to grab the other 2 main deck names, they can both ss themselves from hand cuz you control a level 2 synchro
link into Snatchy again, replace Minion with Acrockie, synchro into Lollipo, Lollipo eff, summon a level 1 and the link from gy, synchro into Cooky.
That would give you: Every (Weak) Main Deck summon effect, a Pop, and a double book of moon, with you being able to have grabbed Redemption to Set as well (again, with 1 Main Deck Yummy).
Over all I’m very excited for this adorable deck, hopefully it won’t be expensive when it reaches the states.

      • TheTrueThomaster on February 12, 2025 1:29 am

Field Spell Search on the Link-1 is a Hard Once Per Turn. So you’d have to have drawn into Acrockie and/or Terraforming to do the combo as you describe.

      • Nikki on February 12, 2025 1:34 am

ah true, althought all it really added in the combo was a pop, you can just grab it instead of the trap with Cupsie Yummy’s summon effect

      • Meyendlesselfindulge on February 12, 2025 3:08 am

Link 1 triggers on special, so on opp turn you can get the 2nd field spell when you summon him back using the synchro’s eff

      • HFIL on February 13, 2025 11:17 am

Link 1 is on special not link summon. I guess you are supposed to place Minion on your turn and Acrockie on your opponent’s turn.

    20. ... on February 12, 2025 12:46 am

I am thankful for the flavor explanation though, pun intended.

    21. Logic Bomb on February 12, 2025 12:50 am

Didn’t expect these to be revealed so soon. Thought it’d at least be another week.

    22. atomicnmare on February 12, 2025 12:54 am

low level light beasts kinda made me wish there was synergy with either the AFD friends or melffy but something or another thing is missing

but “For this card’s Synchro Summon, you can treat 1 Link-1 monster you control as a Level 1 Tuner.” is a deranged thing to put on a card, probably not broken but it’s the kind of thing that makes you do a spit take

    26. Eternumblaze on February 12, 2025 1:33 am

This is just straight up cancer the archetype…. what they hell were they smoking when they came up with this!?

    27. TheTrueThomaster on February 12, 2025 1:34 am

I was confused as to why Cupsie’s “better” effect was the draw 1 when the search was almost always going to have been the better option… and then I saw that most of the synchro’s effects to special summon where quick effects… Cupsie is quite literally designed for trying to blindly draw into a hand trap during your opponent’s turn. I approve of this card design.

I wonder if you just play this with snake eye, since you can go into anima (or linkuriboh for formats where it’s legal) and Snash is just full combo for this deck. Also can bait out handtraps to then go into a link 1 and special any of the yummies.

    35. Lobohobo on February 12, 2025 2:34 am

    36. [email protected] on February 12, 2025 2:39 am

I guess Lyrilusc Cupsie is the new build for the bird deck.

Also, this deck totally has some higher level boss monster coming in whatever Booster Pack they’ll get to be featured In. Otherwise they’re just stuck with whatever Links they can use (I bet on Saryuja being one of them), maybe Chaos Angel. Probably not Spright, since they rarely run Level 1s. And I find it ridiculous that every Synchro this deck has right now is a tuner. Is every single Level 2 Synchro also a tuner at this point? Even the Level 3 pool has at least 1 non-Tuner Synchro (Clausolas)

      • CakeNBake on February 12, 2025 9:54 am

There are three non-Tuner Level 2 Synchros as of writing – ‘Sayo the Rain Hider’, ‘Puralis, the Purple Pyrotile’ and ‘T.G. Repicro Dragonfly’.

    37. TimmG on February 12, 2025 2:42 am

Is this deck meant to be played pure? Or have we already figured out what engines are gonna work well with this archetype?

      • Meyendlesselfindulge on February 12, 2025 3:14 am

I feel like it can be played pure, in a vein similar to prankids, every main deck monster is full combo, then you can just stuff the rest with extenders/non-engine

      • DuckSguised on February 12, 2025 12:24 pm

Can be pure, but you can mix with smith, Mimighoul, Lyrilusc, ecc.

    38. Namesky on February 12, 2025 3:35 am

I just realized something – arts of main deck monsters and link are designed to look like bromide cards which are popular collectible in Japan.

    42. Cyberse Man on February 12, 2025 5:12 am

This archetype feels strong, yet somehow balanced (if you play a pure build). Synchros are kinda crazy, you can use some of the good Cyberse starters to go into Link Decoder/Linguriboh and get the ball rolling with both.

    45. daniel on February 12, 2025 5:25 am

maybe climb with Celestial Double Star Shaman? that’d certainly get you like a cupid pitch for corridor and some generic synchro boss monster.

    46. FZVT on February 12, 2025 6:58 am

Okay, but why does Cupsie get worse when specialed by a synchro?

      • HFI on February 12, 2025 11:29 am

Yeah, who the heck is choosing a random draw over a search? Literally the only reasons to do this is if you literally have no other Yummy cards in your deck (which given the grindy nature of the deck shouldn’t happen) or you are so many Yummy in hand that you’d rather draw non-engine (at that point, the draw probably doesn’t matter). Besides that, not sure I see the point.

      • Namesky on February 12, 2025 11:44 am

As someone pointed out earlier – because most of times you’ll activate that part of effect during your opponent’s turning, which is kinda relevant if you’ll play plenty of hand traps and you really need to dig for Nib or Evenly or something.
Also this deck already has a lot of searching both in and outside of archetype. Drawing gives you chance to grab anything non-Yummy. It’s “worse” just in vacuum.

    47. Hat two trick on February 12, 2025 7:07 am

Fyi so far following decks have 1 card combos into yummy
      Appliancer with field spell
Skull servant with uni zombie wightbaking and wightprince
Sky striker with hornet drones and engage
Tri-brigade because yummy link one restriction does not apply to them as tri-brigades dont link summon and yumny link 1 activates the field search on special summon
Trickstars with nightshade into link 1
Any cyberse with level 1 access under the sun yes dotscaper mainly
Blue-eyes thanks to artemis the magistus moon maiden with sage with eyes of blue and afd support
Snake eyes with bonfire ash and poplar post doomed dragon
Yubel with samsara d lotus, throne and piri reis map
      Ancient fairy dragon with multiple
Lyrilusc altho they are not technically 1 card, but generally generif enough to mention
Magistus thanks to artemis and their ability to basically to bridge into any deck under the with spoon and rilliona access
Do i count melffy with rescue cat?
Plus any deck in the world that can link into requiem and access level 1.
Tbf i think as engine this is more tame than fiendsmith so far and i do am delighted to see samsara shamisen sorrowcat into cupid pitch to get nibiru into synchro 5 be a thing because synchro tuners of low levels before this were basically a dead genre of cards, but i think this archetype might be problematic depending on what support they get.

Yummy Ojama sounds terrible from the name alone.

    49. Pickle McCool on February 12, 2025 8:31 am

from reading the link monster does that mean konami could be planning to release a link 2 version later on

    50. Superbar on February 12, 2025 8:58 am

Interesting but kind of boring of an archtype.

I wish they ported the catapult turtle from rush duels that destroys a spell/trap.

    51. Geo on February 12, 2025 9:09 am

Screw a crane game, this is disclosure

    52. HFIL on February 12, 2025 10:50 am

Ok, that Link 1 is actually strong.

      • HFIL on February 12, 2025 10:52 am

Also, I guess Level 2 is just the Beast level. Yummy Melffy?

    53. Donnie on February 12, 2025 10:51 am

First Kamen Rider Gavv now this. Any more snack themed creatures coming this year???

    54. Makhirot on February 12, 2025 11:14 am

Sweet cats, well, a cat deck was needed, I guess

    55. narf on February 12, 2025 12:09 pm

That link monster being once per chain will bite them in the ass. It’s incredibly strong what this deck can do off basically nothing. And it grinds extremely well, too. And if you want more starters there are easily 20+ cards to choose from.

    56. GG on February 12, 2025 12:22 pm

Every deck building set has one of the three decks are cheap. I was hoping this would be the cheap one but it’s looking like I might be a expensive one. Got to wait for the last deck then.

      • CoCoA on February 12, 2025 1:59 pm

they all similar price in OCG, but only the bad one is cheap in TCG, if they all good, then you are cooked.

    57. Jesus (real) on February 12, 2025 1:45 pm

        yo bro let’s go, based

    58. NeoPhoenix on February 12, 2025 3:17 pm

It would be disappointing if the main deck monsters didn’t get a couple of alt arts in the coming years, because you can see they have a lot of variations in the bottom right (a majority are covered by the proxy logo, tho) and a couple of them look different enough to warrant it. Besides, they’re cute little fellas! Who doesn’t love cute little fellas!? So they’re very marketable, y’know?

    59. Thiago on February 12, 2025 9:56 pm

Appliancer Yummy is a cool engine?

    60. Nyurgh on February 13, 2025 5:57 am

      Fabled support.

    61. Articz on February 13, 2025 6:13 am

I like this theme. Not too broken but also can do some shenanigans. Also they are super cute.

    62. CrispyArrow on February 13, 2025 11:59 am

That link 1 absolutely spearheads the archetype into insanity. Everything about it is unhinged

    63. RyuuGaSaiko on February 13, 2025 3:48 pm

      They remind me of Melffy.

    64. Trunks Strife on February 13, 2025 11:45 pm
