“I feel like The Weather inherit the [feel/ambience] of the Madolche art. The theme has motifs based on weather phenomena and art materials, their respective backgrounds have touches of their respective art materials, and they are pleasant to draw. At this point time I was adding extra flavor on top of the requests I received by adding some shared characteristic [through the theme], and for this one I decided to include a snow globe component. While it has a simple design, it proved to be difficult.”

TL note: This needs more context from the 20th Anniversary Monster Art Box book, which also has these reference arts of The Weather monsters but also includes Rainbow. Rainbow’s notes explain that for one, she does not know what she draws, and second, everything she draws becomes a rainbow no matter what.
