amazing banlist
april fools?
April 1 is not always about Aprill Fool, it’s the just beginning is a new month.
Well, new Rush’s Banlist with some new friends and some who escaped from jail.
– It seems that Rush’s Dark Magician is still annoying to face: first Catrois Choice and now Obsidian Magical Soldier. Of course, Obsidian Magical Soldier at 3 led to Rush’s Dark Magician winning on many occasions (it’s funny that Rush Duels gave the Sky Striker strategy to Dark Magician)
– Considering Rush’s Harpie does with its Maximum Monsters what Excutie Lilius does, I guess it makes sense that Monster would be released little by little. Although well, Excutie Deck currently feels healthier compared to two years ago (that’s because there are already better Decks that crush Excutie Decks)
– The complicit duo “Legend Magician + Legend Strike” was hit in this Rush’s Banlist: both were semi-limited. Honestly, I expected one to be limited and the other to be semi-limited (everything pointed to Legend Magician being the limited one). I guess this is a warning that if you keep using this combo, it will be hit harder.
– Seeing the hit to Obsidian Magical Soldier, it doesn’t make much sense for Magical Lance – Grace Spear to remain limited. Mind you, it’s a nice light boost for Spellcaster Decks (especially Wonder Fusion Decks)
– Of all the Rush’s Harpie Cards they could play, Triangle Ecstacy Spark was the most correct option. This Spell Card easily makes countering Rush’s Harpie difficult: basically, a Spell Card that prevents you from using Trap Cards to defend yourself. It won’t be enough to lower Rush’s Harpie’s Level, but it’s a good start.
What’s missing here is perhaps a hit on Rush’s Blue-Eyes (although Legend Magician/Strike was used a lot in that Deck), but it may be that it wasn’t touched since Praime Deck came to eat the Deck alive.
F for Dragon Roll the Sushi Fairy.
Konami should have also limited Jewel of Dark Magician and Strike should be a limit, but this is a good start.
